Parked in the NP car park at Buckden, ascended Buckden Pike via the permissive path heading NE, traversing the fell to join the bridleway from Starbotton, then up to the Polish memorial and along the summit ridge in mist to the trig. From the summit headed north along the very wet and boggy ridge to Naughtberry Hill, and uncertain HP. Having had enough of the ridge bog, I then followed a splendid quad bike track along the top of the scar above Bishopdale back to the Buckden Pike track and down to Buckden. 17km with nearly 600m ascent in 5 hours.silveracorn_alan12/11/2022
From Newbiggin, couple of roadside parking slots couple of hundred metres before end of the road. Good track half the way then trods etc to an unmarked summit.jonglew31/08/2022
Limited parking opportunities in Newbiggin – parked in the most socially acceptable place on some unkempt grass next to bridge over brook and a wooden bench SD9985285662– returned to find nasty note on windscreen – beware. SSW up BW (Wasset Fell Road), vague after first gate, becomes clear after gate at SD996850 then good all the way up to shooting lodge ruin on Baxton Edge– the big cairn a few metres further on is a valuable guide on the return. Next km is pathless, over heather and deep soft veg, until meet wall, where an ATV on NW side leads to shoulder at about SD981822 from where a thin ditch-cum-FP leads, interminably, to the top. Moor is criss-crossed by vague ATV tks but they rarely go in a helpful directionIsbjorn29/08/2022

A very early ascent from West Burton to do a circuit of hills. It was a beautiful dawn but bitterly cold the ascent through fields was accompanied by the mournful call of the Curlew and Lapwing. Not much of a summit but a pretty remote place to be.thenomad21/04/2021

Up from road end. Bit breezy up topvegibagger07/02/2020
From Tor Mere Top, contouring to east of Buckden Pike over energy sapping terrain but slightly more sheltered from torrential rain. Rain stopped before reaching the summit, descended via bothy and Walden Head. Rainbow cheered me up and to be fair, that wasn't a bad little horseshoe. Soaked to waist and damp top half, warmed up with a good pizza at Hawes and headed home.Wycombe Wanderer31/08/2019

A featureless summit. It is always nice not to have the summit spoiled by a pile of rubble and where it is left to the summit-baggers own judgement to decide where it is.Alan Moore27/10/2017

From Buckden Pike. Followed the fence line on a bit of a track NNE, then ATV track to the summit. To descend, followed ATV track south-east down to a grit track. Then tricky descent down to Willy's Gill, over a wall, then gated fields down to Walden Head. With RP and BC.Man of Kernow123/08/2017

From Newbiggin with Alfie. Plenty of parking space. Followed bridleway up to Floutgate Scar and to the small cairned summit of Wasset Fell (503m). The path soon fades. Followed the wall initially and then rough heather to summit.Dangerous Dave06/04/2017
From Newbiggin following row then boundary (bitty path) before dropping to shooting box and got below cloud. Followed track back round and descended by ascent route. Newbiggin hamlet has some rather nice property.SS21/01/2017

Start at very end of road in Walden Dale. Mowed grass doesn't look like parking area but resident of house says he maintains it for walkers to park. A Gentleman. Followed wall up edge of access land to avoid bracken. At top found track not on old 1:25000. Follow NW Then turn left on track right to top of ridge. Weak path from there.
