Train to and from Dent, walk up Galloway Gate, Bridleway in SW direction and then at gate, follow decent path to top. Straight over top and down bridleway, then onto Pennine Bridleway to top of Wold Fell. Back to station via bridleway alongside Arten Gill and then pleasent road walktrimarc214/12/2023

There is only really roon for one car at the gate onto the bridleway on the Dent Road. Nice walk, though to is a bit obscure. NOT the spot height.HardenC13/01/2023

Parked at SD790835, followed track north to where it entered summit area and climbed up and across to summit, back down to gate leaving summit area to north and followed tracks all the way down to Widdale Bridge, SD827879. Then through Snaizeholm Wood to see the red squirrels and back steeply up Snaizeholm Fell.Flatfield13/11/2021
1/2 Parked on the side road to Dent and walked up track to this summit, short detour to the West to the actual top. Then continued West along the road to pick up the Dales Way South, then up the Fence Line to Blea Moor. Returned by walking north and NW along fenceline and then using the path down over the top of the rail tunnel, and through woodland tracks back to car (marked private but ok to walk along).nickywood110/10/2021
Round of 3 Dodds from 790835. Up the bridleway and made for the spot height before realising where the high point was.NormanW05/09/2021

Redshaw Moss then Wold Fell from Newby Head Gate (SD 790 835). Both hills accessed by following the Pennine Bridleway, then across open country to the summits. Ground snow covered with a couple of snow showers with sun between making the Dales look very impressive. 11km with 360m ascent in 3h30m. (S)silveracorn_alan03/01/2021
Again from Stoopes Moss, ascend via PBW and onto summit plateaux. Not obvious exactly which embedded rock is the summit so visited all I could seewychwood22/12/2020

11 mile circular from Newby Head gate, along road then onto Ribble Way and up to source of the Ribble, across rough then very wet ground onto dry and grassy Snaizeholme Fell (no walls to be crossed this way), after summit headed west over very difficult dry stone wall with fence on top then over another broken wall down to gate facing bridleway to Swineley House, followed this very unused bridleway from there then onto main path up to foot of Great Knoutberry, bagged Great Knoutberry Hill on trail (2nd time, previously done in 2004), then followed trail NW to contouring Pennine Bridleway up onto Wold Fells easy summit then back to car. Sunny/cloudy with a few showers around, good views from Pendle Hill to Cross Fell but could barely see the Lakes because of haze, saw a few people all day all on Great Knoutberry.DanTrig17/08/2019

14:00 Hot, sunny, slight haze, strong NE breeze. Good view of Ingleborough. Tried to imagine what the landscape would have been like before the ice age.Wycombe Wanderer28/05/2018
