On 'Eastern Edges' walk from Flouch Inn to Baslow, with SJB and JEL. The toughest part of this walk was from the top of Cut Gate, over wet peat moors, to the col below Back Tor. After Howden Edge, Featherbed Moss lived up to its name but we avoided the worst of it by walking in the bed of the infant Abbey Brook. The going improved a lot as we approached Back Tor- I mention a bit of scrambling in my log- presumably we went over Howshaw Tor. Lunch stop on Back Tor. | pwheeler | 14/06/1986 |
