I'm staying at the Ochils Mountaineering Club cottage in Crianlarich this weekend. The forecast for Saturday was for +50mph gusts and heavy rain. So I obviously jumped on the train up to Corrour Station (of the Trainspotting film fame), to bag Beinn na Lap (935m), my 193rd Munro. Only a 4hrs walk, wind wasn't as bad as forecast, still strong though, I got thoroughly soaked.chillyman819/08/2023

Lovely evening to pop off the train at Corrour and take in a leisurely wander up here before a lightweight bivvy down by Loch Ossian. Magnificent panoramic views of this dramatic corner of the Central Highlands, particularly from about 800m southwest of the summit.Alex C29/05/2023
Walked from Corrour Estate to North side of hill and then up. Down to Station track and back along Northern shore of Loch Ossian. Views at the top were incredible. Every kind of weather you can imagine.tsharp15/05/2023

From Corrour station, out and back to Beinn na Lap followed by Carn Dearg, Sgor Gaibhre and Sgor Choinnich. Back to the station cafe with time for tea and cake before catching the 15:24 train.Geoff Briggs11/04/2023

From Corrour. Quite boggy on the lower slopes after all the rain. Higher up it was drier underfoot. With the wind behind me I reached the summit in 1 hour 10 minutes. It was blowing a gale on the summit so hunkered down for some shelter and waited about half an hour for the summit to clear. Got some good views to Glen Coe the Mamores and Grey Corries as well as the vastness of Rannoch Moor. It was harder walking down the ridge as the wind was close to blowing me over. Lower down the wind dropped. There were hundreds of Fieldfares and Redwings. Time taken 3 hours 5 minutes for 6.4 miles including summit stop. Ascent 1843feet. Enjoyed a lovely soup in the station café afterwards.isabelle26/10/2022

Caught the Caledonian Sleeper from Helensburgh Upper to Corrour, and set off from the station at 9am under blue skies. I stupidly took a own direct line up to the ridge instead of the path, resulting in a steep tussocky grass ascent with light fluffy snow covering most of the ground. Above 800m, mainly powdery snow but reached the summit by 10:45. Took some photos and then headed down to get the 12:30 train south. This time, followed the path and arrived back at the station by 11:55. Had time to eat my packed lunch, change my socks, and read a few chapters on the Kindle before the train arrived.mproudfoot02/04/2022

Corrour halt to bottom of hill by bike, climbed to ridge then along to summit. Dull but clear, heavy shower on return.Trotticus18/05/2021
had my tent at GR 378678 on the N side of Loch Ossian just before the forest starts so a quick start in the morning, 1h 40mins up ,1 hr 15mins down then back to pack the tent and hop on the bike to Corrour station in time for the 1230 south. Better than 10 years ago when I was driven off what must be one of the easiest Munros of all by a blizzard in mid Mayyounggl14/05/2021
