Walk/run from wild camp near Belstone. Cold windy morning with clear blue skies in an easterly airflow. Plenty of Golden Plovers. Also Meadow Pipits, Stonechats, Skylarks. From Belstone Tor and finally the rolling mists have evaporated into hazy blue skies and sunshine. The Moor is currently very dry and pale with dry grass. Great views.

A 12 mile Dewey outing taking around five hours form the free car park in South Zeal. After I followed the line on the map past Hound tor, Wild tor reaching Hangingstone Hill, descending using the track before climbing Steeperton tor. Oddly carried a rucksack full of freshly washed laundry for 3 hours from the cottage nr Chagford up our regular moorland stomp with L and Flook the hound towards Hound Tor then north over this top (a repeat visit) then off piste down to Belstone to deliver laundry to Neil - on holiday with no washer for his family.
