From Rhobell Ganol via Rhobell Fawr. A long slog with many swamp crossings. Aimed for the west flank of Rhobell-a-big in descent and picked up the outward atv track but it was very tedious and I'd have been better off going back over Rhobell Fawr. Very rough terrain round here, not unlike the highlands. 9.2km, 557m, 2:35. | Wycombe Wanderer | 08/10/2023 |
From Lllanfachreth car park. Rhobell Fawr then out and back of Dduallt before completing circular route. (Also visited Rhobell Fawr Weat Top) Great walk but the route up and down Dduallt was very rough going. Solo | Dan Baddeley | 03/09/2023 |
14.6 miles 2937ft walk ,start at Llanfachreth School carpark. to Dduallt and Rhobell Fawr. | stephenbuda | 01/07/2023 |
From Lllanfachreth car park. Nice path by school then rough ground to Cerniau West Top, Moel y Llan (also visited top of similar height), Cerniau (also visited top of similar height). Headed roughly NE contouring and then over to Rhobell Ganol and Rhobell-big and back to climb Rhobell Fawr and Cynefin Bryn Blew [Rhobell Fawr West Top], down ridge to rejoin outward route. Warm and sunny. | RobertP | 27/05/2023 |
Drove up from South, through three gates, parked just off the tarmac where it ends at junction of forest roads: Cynefin Bryn Blew [Rhobell Fawr West Top], Rhobell Fawr and Dduallt. Claggy start which cleared for lovely clear views on a warm afternoon. Pub tea in Bala afterwards. | Lazylizzie | 07/05/2023 |

From main summit. | Minto | 25/05/2022 |
Neat 2-pronged summit outcrop; may have been here in the distant past. From SW, Llanfachreth car park; the rocky 457m Goriwared summit a worthwhile stop en route. Continued to trig, and back via Moel Cors-y-garnedd. Sunny chilly late pm, nice light. | RHW | 05/12/2021 |
Rhobell Fawr & West top from West. No reasonable parking near Tyddyn-du at the end of the minor road so parked at SH 75681 26118 Hafodowen in a parking area presumably for holiday cottage. Over stile at parking area and ROW across fields to minor road and followed past Tyddyn-du where it turns into a track leading to Bwlch Goriwared. Over stile to left just before sheepfolds and followed track to left of wall with ease to both summits, same return. 3 hour round trip and terrain easier than the map suggests, really isolated and remote feeling mountain and was treated to fog rolling off Aran, Maesglase & Cader Idris in the sunrise. | jacobrichmond | 07/11/2020 |

From Llanfachreth (SH 75628 22524) - Bwlch Goriwared - Rhobell Fawr West Top - Rhobell Fawr - Dduallt. Steep descent from Rhobell Fawr to Ty-newydd-y-mynydd. From there out-and-back leg to Dduallt through and around forested area. Obvious path through forest, occasionally boggy; mostly pathless once clear of forest. Excellent track from Ty-newydd-y-mynydd back to Llanfachreth. | david230201 | 01/04/2012 |
With: hb; We followed the track over Bwlch Gorowared then headed NE for Rhobell Fawr ridge. Visited W top then summit and descended NE to hit track just as it enters wood. Lots of rain! | Ian Baines | 10/03/2012 |

Left bags at Rhobell Fawr and took a short hike over to this one just in case it ever gets added to any list. Nive rocky summit. | Father Ted | 13/09/2008 |
In the early 1990s before I had even heard of Simms I did my own personal challenge of all the 600m peaks in Wales. I have a record of the summits but not the dates so I have selected this arbitrary date within the period for them all. Some I missed but this was one I did. | dickscroop | 01/07/1994 |
