Logged Descriptions  (logged by 267 users)ByDate of Ascent
From the bridge over the Spean and along the track on the south side of Loch Laggan until WSW of Binnean Shios. A short trek through the open woodland until a fence reached. Snapped wire gives access onto the open hillside, where deer trods aid a steady ascent of the hill. A similar story back towards Binnein Shuas, which has a series of crags higher up that can be largely avoided by grassy gullies. The North Top is a fun scramble and the main summit a great place for views down Glen Spean. Returned SW then W to avoid the steepest crags. 5hrs total.summitter05/11/2023
In from Luiblea, track to junction, slightly west at first to gain ridge, quite complex top. First snow on higher 3000' tops.iangalbraith16/10/2023

Parked at Moy, along track to c. NN 450811 and then NE up grassy hillside later through assorted craggy stuff to summit, in drizzle and mist all the way. Descended NE then E down most easterly of gullies, slippy in places but OK, to col and on to Binnein Shios.MichaelF24/05/2023

Beautiful spring day. A great pair of hills, especially Shuas which we did second. Enjoyed the interesting ascent from the bealach, made more fun with snow in the gullies.jenx16/03/2016
In combination with the Shuas. From Lubilea along the loch to below the col between the hills then steadily up Shios. Back to col then superb scramble up the Shuas through old snow. Good quick line back down to track and out.nordicstar16/03/2016

From Meall Luidh Mor via Luiblea. Strong south west wind, heavy prolonged shower on descent but clouds mostly above summits.Topographer5704/07/2013
Parked in ample parking lay-by on A86 where bridge crosses Loch Laggan western outflow. Used a bike to access the bridge that crosses Lochan na h'Earba western outflow, hid bikes near here. Walked to the base of Ardverikie Wall rock climb, climbed it in 6 pitches and ambled to the summit where I played amateur radio for 1 hour, whilst climbing partner sorted gear. First climb for me this year. Weather 5 celcius, hazy, no wind, pitch 5 wet. So, mountain biking, hill walking, rock climbing and amateur radio summits on the air all in one day.sotabagger05/03/2013

A long walk through varied, attractive woodland by Loch Laggan. We decided we'd like to do a hill so walked to the NE side of Lochan na h-earba and went up this fascinating one with its unusual pegmatite rock.
