As others - from layby at Half Way House, followed track S along river then W, then right at an unmapped fork, later following deer fence directly upslope through gap in fence (rickety gate is now an ex-gate!) and on to summit. Descent by same route.benalder28408/01/2024

MC. On return from CWT. From the east and up the indistinct east ridge. Descent directly to S to loch and back along track.Martin6621/05/2022
Parked at bridge by Half Way House. Followed track, by stream, then up E ridge. Wind howling on top. With Lisa & Daniel.CJM08/02/2022
Up the track from the bridge by the Raeburn hut, where it hits the end of the ridge 626905 followed various animal tracks on and off to the summit crossing a fence via a gate. Where there are no tracks heather was easy going. From the summit followed the ridge around to Glas Choire (again various animal tracks) until it hit a fence going down the hill. Followed the fence down to its end where it met a good track (not on the 1:50k map), this led to the road at about 634916, then 0.5k down the road back to the bridge. 4.35 miles ~ 2hrs moving time.JulieB19/09/2020
Usual route from A889. Overnight snow made the streams at the start high/fast so lucky to cross dry. Deep snow on top. Great hill in winter.dave g13/03/2020
From Meall nan Eagan. Rough going but good fun. Wind and showers behind us. Descents mostly on fun soft snow, ascents on grass and heather. Not too boggy, no peat hags. Missed the summit of the intervening Tump as we couldn't be bothered to clamber over a deer fence twice. Descended to the path on the north west side of Loch Glas-choire as we didn't want to risk problems crossing the outflow after a very wet spell. Then a nearly four mile yomp back along the road to the car at the quarry. With JD, EB, DW, AM, CW.Owen B17/02/2020
Pleasant walk from 635 935 initially via the main track then by following the deer fence to its end and finally just heading up over easy heather to the summit. Superb views all around.Peterb20/01/2020

Evening run from road Layby near Raeburns Hut. Path then short heather ridge to summit. Fine viewpointN.Morters09/08/2018
From the bridge, by Halfway House, latterly renamed incongruously by the SMC. Out via the lochan track, with lovely views, then joining the track from the bridge after the stile. Easy up the ridge on a vague path and short heather, then off piste after a gate in a BWF high up the ridge. Fine views all the way. Back via the main track, which follows the stream into and through the forest (gate) and comes out by the bridge lay by (beware people using it as a toilet, yuk). No need to climb any deer fences.Gill10/06/2018
Solo. From parking place by the bridge at NN635909. Went south on a track which more or less follows the line of a path, as shown on OS 1:25,000 map. The track swings west. Then, where the track swings south again I followed a path which goes up the hillside to a junction of deer fences where there are two gates. These deer fences are not shown on my map. Over one of the gates and continued to the summit of Creag na Doire Duibhe. Continued to Creag Meall an Domhnaich. A fine, dry day.pwbellarby30/05/2018

From the bridge at 635911. The track south of Loch Glas-choire avoids the deer fences when you head up to the summit from 625905. 1 hour 50 minutes in good weather. Solo.bolton14/02/2017
Up the track direct to the Lochan, then a path continues with stile over deer fence. All very easy with very short heather most of the way. Great views.jenx14/03/2016

Self and dog. Ascent from east presently very easy after major heath fire within last 2 years. Heather showing no signs of regeneration. Aim for gate in deer fence NN6188490282.Invicta1414/05/2015
From the bridge over burn to E. Keep left of the loch and there is a track of sorts most of the way. Pleasant hillThearlaichdubh01/05/2015
Across the moor on a feint path. Climbed the deer fence and found it unnecessary so reclimbed it. Sleet and rain coming in from Loch Laggan.Play2End29/03/2015

Start: A889 near Loch Glas-choire. Notes: On way back from Inverness.raffemeister14/07/2013
Irresistible detour returning from w/e in Lochaber under a cloudless sky. Started at bridge at 636910 and followed rough track along course of path shown on map. Track peters out at about 630905 and heather is thick but enough animal tracks continue up south east ridge. Ground still frozen but there was a touch of spring in the air.Topographer5725/02/2013
