Parked at small trackside pull-in (NX 3444 8420). Rough break running WSW then due S. Trees sparse near the top. Wandered over to the other 349m spot height, GPS gave 1m lower. | jonglew | 27/07/2021 |

P end of FB to NW, followed it up without any trouble other than the flies, tried both tops then attempted to go down FB to W , took a wrong turning and ended up in the wettest FB I've ever seen. By the time I got to the road about 250m N of intended destination I was completely wringing from the waist down. | agentmancuso | 23/07/2020 |
Parked along the forestry road at approx. NX3458 8437 at a track junction. Along the main track to NX3444 8421 where a wide but convoluted 'firebreak' goes up to the NE summit area. Went to various possible summits. Rough walking and buzzed by flies throughout. | LizH | 21/07/2020 |

3rd hill of 6 today but much harder than it should have been. Started Glen Trool and after Visitor centre cafe visit i climbed Glencaird and Ballunton, dropping onto track before going N on ride to meet track Sw but then heading N but forest trucks loaading up timber so took diversion west attempting to use ride running parallel to the track; this was windblown and i got lashed in the eye by a conifer branch climbing over a tree and my eye reacted to the sap. I screamed in pain! Eventually got through to Nick of the Saddle and onto more open planting with outcrops. Explored both spot heights, high points seem to be just under the conifer branches. Headed N and then Nw to break out onto track. Next poi Sleuchan's cairn. | Dazingdale | 19/05/2017 |

Parked at 344 843. Climbed short ride to the East, stumbled along the ridge to past the Western alternative then descended rides at the young/mature forest boundary. | Eddie | 17/09/2016 |

Oh look, a sitka. We thought alternative top looked higher. Worth doing both to avoid future disappointment. | Martin R | 04/06/2016 |
