hard work wading through snow but great views all round. | gettingonabit | 20/02/2018 |
Along the plateau, just above the cloud base. Deep snow, so no sign of the track, followed the fence posts, most of them partially buried, the rest totally buried in snow. As the wind was behind us we continued on to the NNW spur, then NW down steep snowy (briefly icy) slopes, then west through tiring soft deep snow back to the A9 1 km north of the Dalwhinnie turn. | Owen B | 16/02/2018 |
Parked in layby 87 for an early start on a superb November day: snow enough to walk dryshod over the summit plateau bogs, good visibility and frequent sun. Made the most of it with a long, rangy circuit: Carn na Caim South Top, CnC, A'Bhuideanach, A'B Bheag, Glas Meall Mor, Meall Uaine, Meall a'Chaorainn. Back down the track as darkness fell, somehow managing to stay upright on the ice patches, having left the spikes in the car to save weight. A'BB was my 141st Munro: half way there, but the difficult half awaits... | Nick Down1 | 19/11/2017 |

From A9 up wide track to quartz quarry then the 2 Munros- A'Bhuiheanich Mhor and the Marilyn, lots of high moorland walking. By the time we got to Carn na Caim the cloud was just on the plateau but looking over the curve of the corrie below we watched a juvenile eagle circling ~200 m away- a great highlight of one of the least inspiring days on the Munros. Cut across muirburned slopes to join quarry track about halfway down. With brother, Pete. | pwheeler | 24/05/2007 |

From A9 up track past quarry past S top (CTM) then to this Munro. As it was a fine day I checked map and decided Meall Chuaich was viable so followed highest ground zig zagging E and N - a few deer crossed from R to L in front of me then a few more L to R and this continued for about an hour til I had about 40 deer running backwards and forwards | celticrambler | 13/06/2002 |
I parked up on the A9 a little north of Drumochter Lodge. Once through the deer fence I was on the open hillside up a spur south-west of Allt Coire Chuirn and a steady climb up to a somewhat featureless plateau. The remains of a fence provided a handrail. The first Munro of the day was A'Bhuidheanach Bheag marked with a trig point. From the summit I headed eastsoutheast to reach the Munro Top at Glas Mheall Mòr. I then retraced my steps to A'Bhuidheanach Bheag before heading north, skirting the minor top at A'Bhuidheanach and continuing northwards over two minor tops marked as 902 and 914 metres and eventually to my second Munro (Càrn na Caim). I returned towards the 902 point before heading down a track from a quarry. Rather than following the track all the way down to the road, I cut across the hillside to my starting point. | langskill | 12/08/2001 |

I walked NE to the summit of Carn na Caim following a track in snow made by other walkers and not going over S Top. I returned the same way initially but descended more to the north, not using the quarry track. The snow was patchy low down, but continuous cover on the plateau.
