Short steep circuit from Newton Bridge, Meall Dubh, Meall Tarsuinn, The Scurran. Clouds above the tops.RobertP16/08/2023
From Newton Bridge via The Scurran. Awkward crossing of the electric fence / gate at the col. Got a shock from touching the wet wood used to pull the gate fence across. It's a bit like an 'Orkney Gate' but I didn't fancy fighting with the ratchet tensioners.Minto20/12/2022
Lovely day in glorious winter sunshine. Up the track via Connachan. Returned via the track on the opposite side of Shaggie Burn.Fife Walking27/02/2022

From Newton Bridge, up the north flank of The Scurran, then over to Meall Tarsuinn and Meall Dubh before a descent to the river near Craignavar, where to avoid a wade a pleasant sheep track leads back to the bridge. Straightforward in dry extended conditions and benign weather.summitter02/06/2020
From The Scurran. Down to the beallach, over a fence and under an electric fence, and pleasant walk over grass to the summit. Small patches of firm snow to cross. On to Meall Dubh.LizH22/03/2020

Long but easy track from south east. Wind chill on ridge so did not continue to Meall Dubh.Topographer5720/10/2019
From Newton Bridge a nice morning round of The Scurran, Meall Tarsuinn and Meall Dubh. Only complication was picking a route through the rough ground above and slightly to the west of the bridge.dickscroop04/01/2019
C/W round of the scurran, meall tarsuinn, meall dubh, from parking at newton bridge.robertphillips27/12/2016
