The final top of a walk from Glenachulish, starting with the two Munros. From the summit of Creag Ghorm I descended N, aiming for the hut and mast at the start of the forestry track. At about 630m the gradient of the slope steepens abruptly and here I needed a 300m traverse to the L (W) to gain much safer ground, at an easier angle and with less crags.Rod M31/08/2023
Third of 3 Simms in a clockwise round from Glenachulish. The descent to the mast is steep and not well mapped on the 1:50000 OS map with many crags which are not shown. 6.5 hours for the total round, under 12k so very slow - it's me !NormanW07/06/2023

From the Munros. Then we descended north, keeping left down the steep slopes, to the mast at NN033590. Then around the forest tracks. Two hours from Creag Ghorm to the car park: probably quicker than looking for a short cut down craggy slopes and through the trees.Pete R13/10/2019

Descent NE then E from summit aiming for route through woods from ca041580 to join logging track is not to be recommended! Very steep ground and we failed to find any obvious way of avoiding thick woodland.Tony S16/02/2019

Followed the track and baggers' path through the trees from Gleann a'Chaolais car park. All fine but ended up too far south and made a hash of a rising traverse through the cliffs to get back on course, wasting time messing about on precarious ledges and gullies and ending up too high and 2km away. Should have cut through the trees earlier.alda28/07/2016
From Ballachulish on a poor day, early start to b eat the forecast 70 mph winds. Track through woods, should have followed it to end at stream immediately south of summit where there is a good break in in the forest but took a break at an earlier stream that petered out so finished with a hack up through dense trees. Wet snow above about 600 metres was a bit tricky. Came down the good break without problems.dickscroop02/06/2015

With Karin and Sarah. Crossed the hill on the way down after a westwards traverse of Beinn a’ Bheithir, but not now confident enough that we visited the summit to tick it.mainnirnamfiadh02/09/1978
