Room for a few cars at 720 628. Use the ladder stile to cross to the south side of the deer fence and there is a good path up to the last 500 metres or so.After that the windblown trees dictate which side of the wall you take.Easier than expected.ARM16/09/2023
Solo. Overcast but dry day. Wet feet from earlier rain. Followed Joskers excellent route description. 5.7k, 235m ascent/ descent and 1h 15.alexmaclennan27/08/2023
Parked easily due West of summit by gate. Followed fence/wall to summit switching to whichever side offered the easiest ground. Views of Schiehallion and Beinn a’ Chuallaich.PeteF15/08/2023

Onvious way from Trinafour. Watch your snkles if you walk through clear fell areac…holes….TICKS galore.VerySlowPlodder28/08/2022
Parked at Trinafour, walked up the road to the track NW of the hill. Once the track reaches a locked forestry gate, headed southwards alongside the deer fence. Hopped this when it reaches an E-W fence, which itself affords an easy ascent to the top. A new summit cairn has been constructed to replace the destroyed previous one.summitter21/08/2022

Parked across from phone box in Trinafour. Walk south uphill for a short distance and take the track on left heading east which leads to gate into wood. Turned right here and followed atv track heading south uphill alongside high deer fence and stone dyke until the fence turns east. There are a few wooden crossbars at this junction that make it more easy to climb over the deer fence. From there follow the stone dyke east uphill. I started on the felled wood side of dyke but soon crossed over to the wood side of dyke which was easier to walk on, had to bypass a few fallen trees but no problem. However just before the top you need to cross back to the felled side of the dyke to avoid a clutter of fallen trees which almost overhang the summit cairn. Good view across to Schiehallion. Returned by same route 1hr 15 mins.Jossker17/06/2022
Fallen trees on the north side of dyke have demolished the cairn which now sits a few metres to the south of the dyke. The trees to the south of this point have been harvested.hill walker14/05/2022

Almost quit before this hill because of torrential rain but it stopped by the time I had driven down to Over Bohespic. In theory, one could drive up the un-gated logging road to park at a large lay-by just before the log stacks near the end, she said innocently, provided that there is no logging going on. Sundays at 16.30 seem good. Up the road to the last stacks, then up the boundary between the felled area and the standing trees, over a very short section of brash, then easy going. The felling has been very neat and tidy. At the wall, hop the gap, then walk up along the wall through lovely native trees almost to the top, then back over the wall into the sitka for the last bit to the summit. Much better than I had imagined.Gill18/08/2019
From road to the west along wall. Kept south of wall until deer fence turns north, then crossed into open woodland. Back to south side just before summit.Winterfloodian12/06/2019

Solo. Parked at the start of the track to Over Bohespic. Went up the forest track NE and the NW. This track is broad; it looks as though it has seen fairly recent work done on it to accommodate forest harvesting. I took the eastern track at a fork and then went northwards through the forest, taking advantage of what forest rides there were, to the summit of Drumcroy Hill. Young trees were growing in the rides but progress was helped by deer tracks. There is a cairn on top of the wall at a wall junction at the summit. There is another cairn immediately on the south side of the wall. Descended more or less same way. There was a cloud inversion with much mist low down in the valleys. However, I was out of the mist for the walk and there was no precipitation.pwbellarby21/12/2017
Looked impregnable from the distance, and on the map, but turned out to be a delightful stroll through the woods following the wall all the way.AndrewFinnimore01/12/2017

Very straightforward by this route. Snow made it pretty. No newts. But a hidden icy pond caught us all out.jenx03/02/2016
With Jenx and Will. From the point to West where wall meets minor road. New deer fence starts here and can be avoided by starting on the forest side. Easy trail to follow, continuation into the marked woodland is easy, thin natural tree cover. Wall junction easily found. Nice walk with snow in groubd and a cold wind from Schiehallion to accompany us.nordicstar03/02/2016

Left car opposite phone box S of Trinafour and headed up rough track and directly through the forest and soft crusty snow to the summit. I hope the summit really is at the wall corner and not underneath a pile of inaccessible fallen trees just beyond the wall.Topographer5708/02/2013
