First of 5 Simms, parking at entrance to Kingussie Golf Club - private car park. | NormanW | 07/11/2023 |
Headed over from Creag Dhubh. | 187lenny | 17/09/2023 |
Circuit of Glen Gynack from Kingussie. Followed track up Glen Gynack and fior short distance up W side of Allt Mor, then headed W up hillside to near beallach and short climb to Creag Mhor. Continued to Creag Dhubh, Carn Coire na h-Inghinn, Geal Charn, Carn a' Bhothain Mholaich and Carn an Fhreiceadain. Easy walking on track to Beinn Bhreac then descent (steep at end) and climb to Meall a' Chocaire. Continued S and climbed Creag Bhalg. Returned via track running roughly SW (path marked on map disappeared near golf course). | RobertP | 31/05/2023 |
From Kingussie car park, along tracks by river, past Pitmain, continuing on estate tracks on E side to Beinn Bhreac, then Càrn an Fhreiceadain, descending SW to track junction at NH728053, taking the track to W down to Allt Unaig, crossing it, then on ATV track up the S hillside, thence to Càrn Coire na h-Inghinn and along the ridge (tricky in mist) to Creag Dhubh and Creag Mhor, descending ENE to rejoin the estate tracks and return to Kingussie (5h55m) | kdbennett | 24/04/2022 |
From estate road west of stream Allt Mohr. Climbed to two lesser tops before reaching the summit of Creag Mhor. Onto Creag Dhubh then across some wet boggy ground to Carn Coire na h-Inghinn. Returnfd south to wet 4x4 track running from the col eastish to the main estate road west of the stream. This track joins the estate road just as it bears right to drop down to the ford/bridge but is not too obvious from the main track. | mart0797 | 28/10/2021 |
Steep descent from Creag Dhubh, then easy ascent to Creag Mhor. Pleasant little hills. Returned to the col and followed an ATV track back to the main track by the Allt Mor, and back to the Kingussie Golf Club. | LizH | 16/07/2021 |
1/9 Creag Mhor, Creag Dhubh, Carn Coire na h Inghinn, Geal Charn, Carn a Bhothian Mholaich, Bruach nan Imirichean, Carn Sgulain, Carn An Fhreiceadain and Beinn Bhreac. Tough Climb first, then easier walking along old and established fence lines right out into the moors then back on good tracks for the Corbett and down on tracks over Beinn Bhreac making the last miles easier. So remote out there! | nickywood1 | 07/07/2021 |
07:12 bus from Kingussie to Kincraig, then Kincraig to Kingussie over 1 HF and 10 Simms. 11/11 | PGCE | 05/06/2021 |
creag mhor, creag dhubh, carn coire na h inghinn, geal charn, carn a bhothain mholaich, bruach nan imirichean, carn squlain, carn an fhreiecadain repeat, beinn bhreac from kingussie golf club CP. | robertphillips | 08/11/2020 |
From golf course. Good track to bealach between Greag Mhor and Creag Dhubh. All three tops, then return via Allt Mor track. With B and R. | jenx | 25/10/2020 |
Crossing from Creag Bheag to SE arduous - deep heather | carole engel | 23/09/2020 |
From the golf course to Beinn Breac and then Can an Fhreiceadain along the stalking tracks (stopping at a rather nice stalking hut for brunch en route). Continued along track towards Meall Unaig to another hut for lunch. A rather tame Mountain hare who lives under the hut also had his/her lunch. Crossed the burn and straight up to Cairn Coire na h-Inghinn, then over to Creag Dhubh and Mhor. A muddy ATV track follows the burn between the two Creag's before joining the main track alongside the Allt Mor and back to Pitmain Lodge and the private road to the golf club. | summitter | 19/01/2020 |
7 of 7: From Creag Dhubh. | ChrisR | 31/10/2019 |
Useful track leading to col NW of summit starts behind newly fenced small enclosure (ca743038) (grass track off main track N from Pitmain) | Tony S | 12/08/2018 |

Ascended from the east over 604 top. There is then a second top before the main summit, which I found confusing in misty conditions. Returned 05/08/2018 in fine weather to investigate my previous ascent. This is a fine hill like its two neighbouring Sims and quite tricky in low cloud. | JohnW | 18/07/2016 |
See Carn ns Fhreicedan. Last of 9 tops in a long day. Descended north, in valley ground much churned about by new hydro works so very boggy in places where churned by vehicles after much rain over last few days. | dickscroop | 08/10/2014 |
Debs Goska | Mountain Goat | 27/04/2011 |
