Second visit, a laborious struggle up from StrathanmoreColin Crawford20/06/2023
With Frances, Luigi and Jim. Hard pull up first 300-400 metres, nauseous, deer fence to climb. But better from here onwards.langskill10/06/2023
From the grassy parking area at Strathanmore. Beware - car can get bogged down in wet weather! Wet ATV track to the deer gate at 281545. Beware as the other gate SE of this is locked. Steep climb to this summit. Headed to Meallan nan Uan. Solo.bolton22/02/2023

DR. Strathconon. Strathanmore to Creag Ruadh, Meallan nan Uan, col (257553), Sgurr a'Mhuilinn, Allt an t'Strathain Mhoir & Strathanmore. Fine & mild with a light breeze & sunny periods tho' cold & blustery on the fells.Vin16/06/2021
Clockwise round from Strathmore parking area. Creag Ruadh(Gt); Meallan nan Uan(C); out to Creag Glass(Gt); Sgurr a Glass Leathaid(Ct); Sgurr a Choire-rainich(Ct); Sgurr a Mhuilinn(C).dickscroop06/06/2021
From Strathanmore to Creag Ruadh up a boggy then snowy NE flank. Pleasant ridge over its east top then to Meallan nan Uan proper. Got a touch misty and snowy at this point, but we pushed on over tough terrain to Sgurr a Ghlas Leathaid and Sgurr a Choire rainich, using the beallach between the two as a navigational aid. The sun eventually came out, allowing us to trudge through the fresh snow to Sgurr a Mhuilinn. The way back to Strthanmore was riven with marshy ground and peat hags, so we followed the Allt an t-Strathain Mhoir, crossing just above a waterfall to get back to the car. 5.5hrs in total.summitter17/11/2019

With a friend. From Strathanmore ascended beside Allt an t-Strathain Mhòir and then up the SE ridge to Sgùrr a' Mhuilinn where we met 2 members of Inverness Mountaineering Club who gave us a dram. We continued to Meallan nan Uan. The descent was over Creag Ruadh. Very cold and icy. Hard snow. Steps were cut below the summit of Sgùrr a'Mhuilinn. Windy. Good views in all directions.pwbellarby17/02/1985
