From ski centre: Carn Aosda, Creag a’ choire Dhirich, Carn a’ Gheoidh, Carn Bhinnein, Carn nan Sac, The Cairnwell (both tops). Some snow on tops. Started day in sunshine and had descended to howling wind and driving rain by the end. Great fun though! With GFE. 19km. Lovely little hill and quiet unlike the other tops. Nice shelter on top.Fionalevey02/01/2022

Backpacking route from Spittal of Glenshee. Misty and intermittent rain for much of route but much brighter on final part. Walked along access road past hotel and ascended W side of Craig a'Chaise to reach summit of Creag Dearg. Continued along ridge to Creag Bhreac and then long pull to summit of Glas Tulaichean. Descended on ridge to NNE and then short climb to Glas Tulaichean North Top, with good views to Loch nan Eun. Descended above W shore of Loch and climbed to beallach, then out and back to Mam nan Carn, and short steep climb to Beinn Iutharn Bheag. From here descended roughly S to NE of loch, then gently slopes to Carn a' Chlarsaich East Top, then back to Carn a' Chlarsaich. Continued ridge SE to Creag Easgaidh, and E to Creag Easgaidh East Top. Descended NE to beallach at 677m and long steady climb to fine summit of Carn Bhinnein. Retraced steps for a way then E to Carn a' Gheoidh. Headed S over Carn Mor and taking the track down to the A93, finding route above the RobertP13/07/2021

With TMD. A linear ridge walk using 2 cars. We are beginning with the Cairnwell (913m), then heading across to Carn Aosda (917m) before heading along the ridge to Carn nan Sac (920m), Carn a Gheoidh (975m) and Carn Bhinnein (917m) before dropping into the valley for some less visited miscellaneous locations that eventually take us back to my car at the Spittal of Glenshee.meltdiceburg31/05/2017

The three Cairnwell Munros, by the Walk Highlands route. Added a couple of minor tops which were just off the route and extended west to Carn Bhinnein. This was the best summit of the day IMO - how often the Munro Tops are better than the main summits.Crib Goch20/10/2015
Is it just me, or does this one look like Arthur's Seat? We arrived from Carn a'Gheoidh; then descended east down an easy grassy slope and continued east up an unmapped track to the Carn Mor col.Pete R17/10/2015

A fantastic day out in the hills, I could not believe we had summited as quick as we did, a nice breeze kept us cool. Bird watching with Ben saw Meadow Pippet, Wheatear, Dotterel & 3 Ravens. In Glen Taitneach we saw at least 300 red deer just stunning. SMHC club walk one of the bestLizzieG22/07/2013
