Came in from W on the hope that there might be some kind of track but the plantation is full of lethal holes. Descended to E and S on same route as others, which was easier.sclater04/01/2024
Parked at the end of the track to Mannoch Cottage (ruin), followed Carole's route, turning left up the outside of the deer fence at NJ197464. Continued following fence right then left, leaving it at NJ1894 4713, to head for the trig point. Spongy ground was luckily crispy and dry. Very flat summit area, explored various possible high points.LizH22/06/2023
Drove up (in 4WD) beyond the ruined Mannoch Cottage to the top of the hill at 194454 where there is room to get off the road. Track beyond this is rougher and wetter. Through the deer fence at the gate at c196460 though you have to cross the deer fence near the top to get to the trig. Bit of a flog through thick heather, holes and spongy ground.StueyB07/01/2023
Parked NJ190440 - driving up track to further parking at Mannoch Cottage too rough. Track, turning left at NJ197464 - easy on deer trod following fence. Keep following fence and trod as it turns right and then left. Leave fence approx. NJ 191471 - spongy moor to trigcarole engel13/05/2022
Parked at start of track (NJ189440). Used track until newish deer fence turned away at right angle. Easy walking by fence to about 350m from summit, then turn N over rough moorland.mae15/06/2021
Starting at the entrance to Rothes Wind Farm near Bogie Howe, walked along road taking a right following road to near top of Cairn Glass then heather bashing to trig point.187lenny23/02/2020

Bagging the nearby trig.BigJ14/04/2018
Agree that trig does not appear to be high point. Cleared ground adjacent to new fencing (approx. SSE from summit) gave better descent (but was frozen solid today!)Tony S25/01/2018
Here for the trigpoint. TP:UK log: Parked at the ruin of Mannoch Cottage and walked up the good but very water logged track to the shooting hut and took a direct rough across the path less boggy heather with knee deep holes to the trigpoint. Great views all round apart from the the windfarm of course.thejackrustles05/12/2015
Looks slightly higher ground 50m WSW of trig point.RichardM13/04/2015
