Finally, last three island HUMP summit. Blow me off I shouldn't meet Ursula Stubbings coming down of hill. She's only got about 15 HuMPs left to do..!!vegibagger07/09/2022
Parked on sand dunes at end of tarmac. Walked along farm track to start if Warness walks, and took photo of information board just in case. Walked up to Greentoft, and all around the farm. At rear take left most gate, there is a small arrow on top of left gatepost. Through two fields to open pasture. Then via water tank signpost to summit. Returned same way, saw no one.Minto10/08/2022
Started at Bay of Greentoft and tried to avoid farm through empty fields. Spotted by the farmer who said there are too many tourists. It's ironic that the descriptive board for the Warness Walk advises going through the farmyard. Sometimes you can't win.NormanW08/08/2022
Eday south to north, second visit to Ward Hill, directly up from end of ferry roadColin Crawford07/08/2022
Parked trackside SE of Greentoft Farm (HY 5589 2891). Up through farm.jonglew06/08/2022
Rubbish hill. Parked in longish layby S of B9063 to S of track, up track, then 1km of rough, boggy heather to summit.Thearlaichdubh23/09/2021
As passengers on the ferry from Kirkwall. Zigzagged up the minor roads, then took the track from the crossroads with the B9063, following the track onto the hill. Intermittent tracks went left towards Ward Hill summit. Hazy views. Continued to Fersness Hill.LizH01/09/2021
Added as an out and back from the Warness Point Walk.kenmorti10/09/2020
A quick walk round the south end of the island between ferries.jenx25/07/2018
Morning ferry to Eday from Kirkwall. Called at other isles, 1.5 hr trip, nice walk on South of Isle plus couple of other tops, back on later ferry to Kirkwall more directly.nordicstar25/07/2018
Nice easy bag after helping Sarah and Seumas bad the lighthouse at the north of the island.assynt_bob15/04/2017
Completion Tump on Eday. After Fersness Hill. Lift from Evan W. for first part of road west from Roadside, then solo. Left where track turns right, and up to ridge and then summit by faint tracks. Back the same way, to be collected and driven to ferry for Sanday. Warm but hazy sunshine, with stiff breeze.mainnirnamfiadh16/08/2016
Very early start to get 07.00 ferry. Seemed to visit most Ornkey islands before arriving on Eday for rather drab hill, on an uninspiring island on a dull, damp day. Still, mustn't grumble.Barbara Singer04/04/2015
Parked near the pub then walked up track and moorland to summit with Jim Bloomer, Richard Tibbetts and Tricky Speirs on a sunny afternoon before a trip to the beach.Dugswell228/05/2014
From ferry on a circular wander taking in War Ness.summitsup27/05/2012
From ferry, via Greentoft farm and signposted to top. Returned by dropping down to Rushacloust and then using the Warness path. Stuck on island all day so plenty of time to crawl into chambered cairns and spot Redthroated Divers.Martin R20/05/2012
Revisit. Trig with large square cairn nearby. From NNE, parked at pub. Took advantage of the Sunday Excursions timetable which enabled me to visit Eday then finish the day on Stronsay for overnight.RHW30/05/2010
Date is first visit. Notes from later...see log on TrigpointingUK.com. RHW31/07/2002
