A pleasure to reach here after the awful terrain off Knockhill. Returned to car at Knockhill via track to East of Sheardrum plantation, then onto an old railway track running below West Lethans Farm.Hirta25/08/2023
Up the track to summit from north to the masts and trig pillar down steep grassy side and over middle tump then down and up second HuMP back contouring along northern base. This completes the Marilyn and it's two Bactrian HuMPs of Dumglow which I climbed some years agovegibagger07/06/2023
Saline Hill, Easter Cairn and Knock Hill from P @ NT 0412 9222.summitsup22/04/2023
From the car park at the east end of Steelend. Over rough ground to a finely cropped meadow, then through a deer gate into newly=planted deciduous woodland before another deer gate and an easy ascent to the summit cairn. An easy walk east is Easter Cairn, very clearly a hill fort and the finer of the two summits.Nick Down120/04/2023

Third hill visited of the Knock Hill trio, and it definitely seemed best doing them from east to west.Alex C02/08/2021
Saline circular as per walkfife.comPuntertron02/04/2021
Parked at Hillview cottage (limited). Track to Steelend then up past a rather muddy cattle feeding station to the fort then short drop/pull to summit. There is s track (not on OS map) that meets the dip between fort and summit that drops down to the north.N.Morters16/11/2019
From racing circuit over Knock Hill and Easter Cairn. Good views. Returned on the track by the wood, then across to the end of the track to West Lethans. Muddy/boggy in places. Some cattle between the hills.LizH27/10/2019
From Steelend contouring round to west of hill passing Killernie castle and farm and ascending west slopes.hillsman06/07/2019
From Easter Cairn following fifewalking.com route from Steelend. Steeply down into col from summit and up beside plantation to summit cairn. Decided to follow the described route down which became a nightmare! Headed west a little from the top then followed a fence south down hill over pathless hillside. At next fence junction followed fence east. This turned into deep grass over rough ground following a new deer fence. After a struggle reached a gate in the deer fence. This lead into a forestry project with young trees, rough ground with thick grass over waist height, and numerous thistles. Conditions underfoot lead to extremely slow progress south heading towards another gate. Reached this gate after a very deep ditch is done entered a field with working tractor. Headed straight across the stubble field and found a stile over fence a short distance from car parked at Steelend. In summer this route is rather slow due to faint paths disappearing into very tall clingy grass.Jubilado05/07/2019

Noisy ascent with Knockhill racetrack in full swing on one side and Saline Gala Day sound system on the other side. Views on the top as far as Ben Lomond made up for it.andy07/08/2010
Fine day, with Dougie MartinLoz_mck18/04/2009
From Knock Hill, over Easter Cairn. Skirted this to the north on the way back out, then along track past West Lethans. Friendly collie followed me out. Nice summit.agentmancuso06/12/2008
No problems this time, but got a mauling by the local goml for leaving core path 616 and trying to use core path 616 to the north of Saline Hill in 2015. This hill is going to be a regular pilgrimage from now on.fasgadh25/09/2008
If combining with Knock Hill, the coll between them is very boggy. Saline Hill easy to do by itself from the south. New easy to open deer gate into newly planted woodland area. Track from the north between Saline Hill and Easter Cairn has a notice saying private road!!!Fife Walkingblank
