After a scary crossing of Tak-Ma-Doon Rd in heaviest snowfall of the year so far the ascent of the Hump from the lay-by near Drum turnoff was simple. Walked round the summit crater to be sure and also found the small cairn nearby hidden beneath the snow. That's OS Sheet 64 completed.lordtonult04/02/2022
Telephone box at the start seems to be no more.Adrian02/07/2021
Parked in a small layby just across the bridge from the road to Drum Farm at NS72754 84083. Through the gate at the start of the farm road, up the field edge and round the top edge to cross the wooden fence. Up the next field edge, then crossed back into the rougher pasture area (could have avoided crossing the fence earlier, but ground at the bottom very wet) and up through a gap in the fence to the summit. Lovely views.LizH29/08/2020
From the bridge at Muirmill up through the fields.sclater03/03/2020
Parked at gate to quarry to the east. Over fields, only one tricky barbed fence crossed at gate, all other field boundaries easily crossed to grassy summit, with sunken craters.N.Morters26/10/2019
Through gate at entrance to Drum Farm then via fields / fence-crossing. Decent views.willyross01/09/2019
Tourist route through gate at entrance to Drum Farm. Made a circuit of the little summit cairn and nearby hummocks, enjoying the extensive views on a fine evening.Nick Down112/04/2019
Easy ascent from start of road to Drum farm. Visited the various mounds on flat summit areaRobertP04/11/2018
Parked at wide space along from Muirhill Farm. Walked back to entrance to Drum, through gate and up through grassy pasture. Bit of bog and tussocks near the top. You don’t have to be high to get great views.Campbell Singer02/11/2018
From a lay-by with gate about 300m south of Shielwalls. Steady climb, sheep, couple of minor fences/walls, a bit wet under foot.summitter20/08/2018
Bit rough on top but otherwise a nice hillhillsman21/02/2018
Easy ascent from entrance to Drum farm.NormanW13/07/2017
From the south west, parked at bridge, through a gate and around an easy field as far as its top right corner. Over a wooden fence and into grass that gets longer and taller and more tussocky. Made for the south-east end of a conifer plantation then turned left and continued to a gate through the barbed fence defending the summit.Topographer5704/09/2016
Ascended from the bridge, where there is parking space. There are avenues of deciduous trees with sheep pasture. Near the top there is a coniferous plantation, which can be passed to the east.JohnW10/06/2016

up from the the bridge parked at phone box.robertphillips01/02/2015
from 40 mph sign to S and then up field and round trees. ?some form of hill fort on summit. Trig probably isn't quite the highest. Good views down the Forth and back along the Carron reservoir. Preceded by Carnoch.Thearlaichdubh01/01/2014
From S, gate, easy damp slopes. SW edge of hollow probably highest; cairn to NE looks lower RHW09/09/2012
Easy parking at phone box. Gate on farm road just over bridge. Easy ascent up fields. Summit area NOT forested as shown on OS maps, so a bit confusing.Minto31/07/2012
Parked just N of bridge near Muirmill. Top is free of trees but has a lot of circular depressions (old mining?).chrisbien13/11/2010

As Nigel, but from the gate a wee bit further up. Aim for the top left, where there's a gate. You can climb that easily. After that it's straightforward. Wet, but straightforward. Nice views. That field has sheep, the lower one above the quarry has cows. If that makes a difference....Belfarm blank
