Parked across road from old barn. | duchally | 26/01/2024 |
From the barn. Still covered in fallen trees. With B and R | jenx | 28/09/2023 |
From barn. Summit area covered in fallen trees to a height of about 3m - can hardly see the ground, far less figure out where the highpoint is. Traversed thru an obstacle course from a gap in the fence after the mast, then circled round to the HB waypoint which is on the far edge of the trees. Didn't go to spot height as it looks lower. | govanah | 15/01/2023 |
Trees still all over the place. | Adrian | 08/08/2022 |
Many of the forest trees have blown over in recent storms, so finding the precise summit point is no longer straightforward. I clambered amongst the branches to what seemed the most likely location. | summitter | 19/02/2022 |
Parked in wide entrance to barn at NO 505495. | carole engel | 11/05/2021 |
Parked by the old sheds, through gates and along the track past the mast, beyond the end of the wood and along the field/wood edge until close to the summit. A stone marked the possible highest point, though the area is quite flat. | LizH | 26/08/2020 |
Lots of gates at start of track. Head up, go on past the mast to the far end of forest, turn right along the edge to the highest ground. Summit just inside trees, small stone marks the spot. | Belfarm | 24/08/2020 |
Local walk whilst visiting relatives: Long c15 mile circular walk from Forfar taking in Dunnichen Hill and Fothringham Hill and lots of quiet country roads. No issues social distancing! Wandered round in the forest for a bit on this one - not sure exactly which point is the highest? | benalder284 | 13/06/2020 |
Evening short walk from farm building and track to mast. Woods open pine forest, no markinga to high point, but easy to estimate location. 20mins round trip | N.Morters | 14/02/2019 |
Weather fair. | MountainMac | 08/09/2018 |

Self, Peter and dog. I did find a couple of boulders together in the pinewood which may represent a summit cairn. | Invicta14 | 01/04/2018 |
Parked at Byre. easy walk up the track. A lovely spot. | Play2End | 02/11/2017 |

Parked to the west of the hill near the cattle shed that is being useed for sheep shearing this week. Up track, into field then into flattish summit wood. | Dugswell2 | 23/07/2015 |
Simple bag from NE, where parked at dilapidated byre, then plod over frozen ploughed field and small wall to pleasant little summit. 20 mins car to car incl 5 mins to admire the view | Thearlaichdubh | 26/12/2014 |
Easy ascent from road over the hill. | JohnW | 25/10/2013 |
From path through Finniston Farm. Impossible to say exactly where top is in wood to S of pylon. | russell61 | 02/04/2013 |
Open pinewood, rather flat summit area | RHW | 17/02/2013 |
Way back after work Montrose. Easy park by road and stroll up track. Agree top is in woods perhaps 50m to East of shown current location. Squally showers but reasonable view nevertheless. | nordicstar | 08/11/2012 |
Just enough space to park by cow shed at top of road. Top somewhere in the wood. | PeteF | 24/06/2011 |
