Drove dirt road to park at mast (NS 8406 4088). 300m each way along fenceline... muddy cattle pasture. | jonglew | 22/11/2022 |
Drove north to old quarry beyond mast. Up through wood to trig and down by field to mast. Exited area by driving north to Greenrig. Roads not too bad. | lordtonult | 13/08/2022 |
From Boreland verge parking. | NormanW | 10/12/2021 |
Really fine views from here but a bit of a scruffy summit area. Watch out for the wasps nest next to the trig! | Alex C | 04/08/2021 |
From Boreland. Up track, across gate just beyond mast, then up field edge to summit. | vuirich | 09/04/2021 |
Up and down from Boreland and grateful for the tips about this. There is a nice wide grassy verge at the end of the public road on which to park. Pretty nondescript but better than pacing the cell during lockdown. No access problems. Thousands of geese on the fields below the hills were impressive. I wasn't able to get close enough to be sure, but from the noise I think they were pink footed geese. No doubt someone will correct me. | MacBell | 16/02/2021 |
P just in track entrance on B7018 to NNW, came over s3 North Top. Thin covering of snow, warm sun, cold wind, ground frozen solid. | agentmancuso | 12/02/2021 |

Drove up to mast, track OK but only just. Incoming squall from the south compromised the view. Aggressive cow approach on descent. | Topographer57 | 02/09/2018 |
HP is at five wall junction near trig ( called five dykes) . Easy access from aerial on track along SE edge of field. Parking in muddy layby and end of yellow road. | Denise | 16/04/2018 |
Drove up to mast . From there a short ascent to trig at summit. | Steve511 | 30/06/2017 |
from access road to Beeches Nursery. Parking on verge. Pleasant walk up to mast and then up the edge of the wood. Don't go thru the windfarm as the wood is partially felled. Good viewpoint on a clear day which it wasn't today. Interesting sheep at nursery. | Thearlaichdubh | 01/01/2016 |
Walked up from crossroads to south taking on previous comments about the track - all true- and because it was a lovely crisp winter's day -after working in Glasgow | Mark Sims | 05/02/2015 |
parked at the mast | robertphillips | 12/01/2015 |
A fistful of dykes. The track recently storm damaged and didn't fancy driving up it. | Martin R | 05/01/2014 |
Walked up the track from the south. Very dry and no stock about. A very pleasant walk, the track is a 4*4 job if you are thinking of being lazy. | fasgadh | 10/04/2013 |
Walked up track from the South. Glad I had my sticks with me as cows in the top field were very "friendly" | GordonAdshead | 02/09/2012 |
