From the road W at Rockhall Burn. Followed the burn passed Rockhall Reservoir and followed track to summit | Wayne Mac | 11/05/2023 |

Anticlockwise circuit to Baillie Hill and finally all the masts at the Dromedary subsidiary HuMP summit, Hazelshaw Hill, to complete the 14 most prominent tops within Maquaco-line of White hill /Hightown Hill. Happy. | vegibagger | 01/12/2021 |
3rd hill of 4.Had a sit down on the grassy verge to recharge before heading to Moss Castle but dropped into the forest to pick up thd Annan Way. | Dazingdale | 02/09/2021 |
Parked on wide grassy verge at 05124 75591. Ascended beautiful tree lined track to right of Rockhall Burn, then on to Hazelshaw Hill. Continued N along ridge to Carthat Hill, and on to Beacon Hill. Descended via Barluith farm track, before bagging Whiteside Hill on the way down. Dropped from there, past Whiteside farm, and down to road. Along quiet road back to car. Great views all day. This is cow country (not sheep) so watch out for angry beasts, and avoid! | Toby-and-Dion | 18/04/2021 |
Parked on Mouswald to Torthorwald Road just SE of Rockhall. Followed footpath to the top. Good views across Solway, but muddy summit amongst mast paraphernalia. Returned same way. | jigglybones | 20/03/2021 |
As already reported a pleasant (signed) walk up track from Rockhall. Why would you even think about trying to drive? Please don't spoil it for the rest of us. | Tony S | 03/11/2020 |
Almost cycled it, if it hadn't been for the presence on a tractor harrowing in the top field. | Eddie | 16/09/2020 |
Nipped up from Manchester to find a Hump I could visit with crutches. Parked on the verge at road junction NY 053 752. Pleasant walk up Comms track but I could probabably have driven all the way (or at least up to the bull gates) with my Volvo XC70. On the way to White Hill | GordonAdshead | 19/08/2020 |
Same route as Liz. With B and R. | jenx | 15/07/2020 |
Parked on the verge of the minor road linking Rockhall with the A75, at NY05364 75168. Pleasant walk up the track to the mast filled summit. Good views to the Solway Firth. | LizH | 19/03/2020 |
Parked off track marked Rockhall at A75 then just wandered up track - no gates but you'd need a tractor! Top is a little bump between the fenced compounds. | SS | 26/02/2020 |
From Moss Castle, crosscountry via old cairns, back via Baillie Hill. | agentmancuso | 11/05/2019 |
parked by Cathart then up to Cathart Hill and over to Hazelshaw. | Adrian | 18/10/2018 |
Drove up track to first gate, walked the last 1.1km from there. Obvious grassy mound between mast compounds. Track is an easy drive with 4x4 and would be ok for 2wd if reasonable ground clearance. | jonglew | 12/07/2018 |
High point between second & third mast. Track only drive able by 4X4 or hire car. | ngthack | 18/10/2017 |
Having required a new sump and an expensive rescue after my previous off road drive (Beinn Mhialairigh in Dec '16) I decided to walk up - very pleasant - no cattle, good views. | jimbloomer | 03/02/2017 |
drove up part of the track to gate then final 600m on foot to the top. | robertphillips | 01/08/2016 |
as Martin R except no farmer and no coos or bulls. | chrisbien | 16/02/2015 |
Used the mast road from near Rockhall (no not that one on shipping forecast). Really friendly farmer wigh a herd of good looking Swiss Brown cows about to meet a bull. | Martin R | 08/09/2013 |
You'd need a landrover to get up the track now. | PeteF | 07/04/2013 |
Evening walk upto mast | cjo | 07/09/2012 |
Drove up from SSE, rutted, muddy, poor turning at top, not good in winter. pasture, N edge of S mast compound. | RHW | 29/10/2011 |
You can drive up, no signs forbidding access. Stopped at gate on way up and walked the rest. You probably could drive right to the top. | mattmcv | 17/07/2011 |
Parked at 0543 7524 and took track to summit. No gates so could probably have driven up although it was icy. | chriswatson | 04/12/2010 |
