Logged Descriptions  (logged by 49 users)ByDate of Ascent
Parking near road-track junction (NT593425). 100m W, a wide track at a metal barrier winds up through the thin corridor of trees. At the pheasantry’s blue barrel, follow the chicken wire fence around to the R and over brashings. Top has been closely planted with new saplings – get this one done soon before they grow too bigIsbjorn03/05/2023

1st hill of 8 today on a very long and challenging alternative Southern upland way route starting from Melrose using S.u.w path to NT538 397 where I took the minor road east veering off to take bridge over River Leader (past Stately home) over the A road up Blinkbonny hill, diagonally across a field to follow watercourse intersecting two strips of conifer woodland, keeping to the east of woodland heading N past milking barns and then taking track that climbs Legerwood. I dropped into woodland where summit is located.Dazingdale17/05/2015
