A nice walk by parking in car park and following route on walk Highlands website.About an hour and a half, stopping to admire views and wandering around the old Fort remnants.Hirta23/03/2023
Noticed this just a few days before- too much focussed on Ma! Car pk start, but good trails from there, more steeply up, round the W slopes down. Hill top bristling with history. Another volcanic plug, good day for looking at the others around. After my pilgrimmage to John Muir's birthplace in Dunbar, a town full of interest.pwheeler17/09/2022
Another brilliant day for this fine hill. Herd of ponies near summithillsman21/08/2022

Steep ascent straight up from the car park to the north. More gentle descent looping round to the east and back to car. Excellent view of Berwick Law as well as the days earlier ascent - Bass Rockmntainman14/11/2021

Sunny June day, on my own, from CP to north, up steep path then veered west. Ponies on path at zigzag happily grazing. Continued past them up to summit. Visited trig, cairn shelter and rocky prominence (lower) to south. Descended gradual path to west circling down gradually back round to north and car.Janet M17/06/2021

Here for the trigpoint. TP:UK log: What a lovely wee hill. Great views. Leg stretch for the dogs on the way home from holiday.thejackrustles20/03/2020
Parked in the car park to the north and followed very muddy pony tracks fairly steeply up. Good views. Descended by the main path, and grassy slope.LizH04/03/2020
Parked in small car park to N. A couple left the car park just before me so I decided to try and experiment - I watched them take the long, circuitous route round to the W whilst I headed up the N flank directly. Unsurprisingly they arrived at the top before me. Great views from the top.Wheelsy31/08/2019
Up main path - pleasant walk on warm bright dayRobertP14/07/2019
Quick nip up during an overnighter at Athelstaneford. Impressive views down to the quarry, plus a narrow travers of the maidens’ stone for good luck.Craigieboy4401/06/2019
Up main path from carpark with info boards. Very cold and dusting of snow. In sun at top long distant views of snow covered highlandscjo02/02/2019
A pleasant walk up in the sunshine once we got out of the shadow of the hill. Didn't see anyone up here although there were a couple of cars in the car park. Excellent viewpoint.Walker Dan23/09/2018
A smashing hill and surprisingly quiet.Chris Peart21/06/2018
From carpark. Good path to top. Great viewpoint. Watch out for the resident ponies. They came looking for me when I was having lunch at the top but I got away.KevPalmer05/05/2018

On way to Edinburgh for a few nights, seen this hill before from A1 thought it looked worthy of bagging, nice walk up from car park, surprised more people haven't bagged this hill considering its shape and prominence, after drove to North Berwick Law to bag that, much more popular.DanTrig10/10/2016
Nice sunny afternoon!!Seasider0618/09/2016
From the CP. A break in the journey south.summitsup13/09/2016
A quick jaunt on an overcast day. By obscuring the higher Pentlands, the cloud ceiling made Traprain Law more imposing, seeming higher than all the other visible tops from Arthur's Seat by the Fife Laws, North Berwick Law and the Bass Rock to the lower Lammermuirs.Nick Down117/07/2016
Tourist path from car park. Wild ponies on summit.Topographer5711/06/2016
This hill always looked interesting from the A1 and proved a worthy diversion.JohnW18/07/2015

Doing the trig but enjoyed the hill despite the snell wind. Thought it was a Marilyn. I can live with the disappointment.BigJ13/10/2014
Murky day, views limited. Much evidence of easter egg rolling.neimcv28/04/2014
A lovely walk on a bright and breezy Christmas morning, just a bit chilly.Dugswell225/12/2013

Car park and path up. Great viewschrisbien15/05/2010
Fabulous landmark. I remember first spotting Traprain Law from the A1 when driving back having completed the SUW many years ago. This and an interest in the Gododdin had made this a longstanding target. Came up the tourist route from the north.agentmancuso03/04/2010
Revisit. Popular path from car park leads NW then E to summit.RHW23/09/2007
