From cemetery like PGCE. Both summits. Returned on fellside RUPP and returned on Hiraethog trail.Moorponder09/07/2023
As others, from cemetery car parkBaggerGutt02/12/2022
From new cemetery in Llanfihangel GM. Trail S, then along fence line. On to Cader Dinmael.PGCE23/07/2022
Parked on wide grass verge on N side of cattle grid at SJ 00106 47914. Followed footpath to access land then followed an overgrown ATV track to summit and trig point. Barb Wire Fence has been renewed but is low enough to straddle to get to Trig.Jephcote8330/05/2022
Forgot the sensible advice about parking while navigating our drive, but we got lucky- we got permission to park at a very tempting space at Maes Gwyn. So we walked along the unmetalled lane from 974475 and went up the access land, trodden by the fence except a very wet bog which took care in places. Fence broken in places above so easy to get to trig/HP. We thought about returning on the farm pastures but the farmer was busy moving sheep- using a 4WD rather than a sheepdog- so we returned the same way. With Pete, as we had time to add this hill to the day's walking, this one a bit of a bag to be honest.pwheeler20/03/2022
from cemetery when on crow dont go straight to summit keep to right to get to fence line less heatherunderhill01/03/2022
Circuit from Llanfair GM - soloJohnIvor28/01/2022
Parked at the cemetery and headed along the Hiraethog Trail onto open access land to Mwdwl-eithin. Continued along the ridge to Cader Dinmael. Much more of a heather bash than I had anticipated. Weather was horrific with strong winds and light rain. At least it kept the crowds away so I could have the place to myself.Gwastadros06/11/2021
With Rufus, tried to start from West near Ty Mawr but struggled to find any suitable parking. Drove over to Llanfihangel GM and parked at cemetery SH 99396 48843 to pick up the Hiraethog trail. Followed the trail to the open moor and up heather to summit, returned same way. Conwy lockdown is taking me to some obscure hills!jacobrichmond06/10/2020
Our second Mwdwl-eithin of the day (after the Marylyn near Pentrefoelas). Parked near entrance to Ty Hen - Green Road heading SE to Hiraethog Trail the along edge of heather covered access land to summit and trig.briandavies26/08/2019
As bolton, parked on wide grass verge on N. side of cattle grid at SJ 00106 47914 - Through gate & up RoW to gate in corner of field at 996472 - Through gate, across bridleway & up path/overgrown ATV track to summit by trig point. Continued to Cader Dinmael. (S)gerrybowes05/07/2019
Good parking by cattle grid to NE. Followed footpath the trails towards top once on access land. Over the fence once this petered out. With R and B.jenx28/06/2019
Green lane SE from Ty-mawr to join Hiraethog Trail (this ruined part better named Turbine Trail), followed round to opposite summit then directly up the heather.Aye Jimmy23/06/2018

Very windy.Trig on top. Parked at cemetery car park c .5k to SE of Llanfihangel Glyn Myfyr after difficulty parking elsewhere on narrow roads. Then followed RsOW to Access land.Denise 11/06/2017
Parked in cemetery car park near Llanfihangel Glyn Myfyr then S up Hiraethog trail to access land and summit. Good views. 50mph SW wind and sunshine. Ground by fence post NE of trig of similar height.RichardM11/06/2017
There is good parking on north side of cattle grid at 001479. Over low fence and follow trees on north side. Gate in corner of last field gives access to a decent sort of path to the summit. 70 minute return. With CJM.bolton05/01/2017

Continuation of walk from Y Drum. Returned to lane via stile. Took lane east to beginning of a track beyond Ty-mawr. Followed track to its highest point. Then headed south-west in access land to the boundary fence. Followed this up east to summit. Trig point is just over the barbed wire fence beyond access land, but fence low and easily negotiated. Walk continued to Cader Dinmael. Solo.Man of Kernow110/04/2016
Parked at lower cattle grid on road to E. Followed footpath to reach Hiraethog Trail at 000467. From this point a track wends up to the summit.Chris Peart11/03/2016
Park 001 479 just after cattle grid can pull off road by start of footpath.Path leads across 2 fields of sheep, as you pass through gate and cross bridleway, path leads to summit, veers to right to begin, after a while there is a faint left fork.Very overgrown with thigh high heather in parts but keep with it as easier than battling through the rest.Very good views all around from summit.Rob5024/08/2014
park at 968476 and walk along road to bridal path hiraethog trail. through several gates but turn off when not as close to trig as possible, to avoid a 3/4 mile thrash through 1' high heather. Say 982474 up over sheep grass and 2 BWF's to top.arranc22/07/2013
Taken in with Mynydd Rhyd Ddu. A fine day walk.Alex C23/04/2013

From Ty Mawr via Hiraethog Trail. Managed to avoid heather fairly easily going on short sheep pasture instead.clivevilla28/12/2011
Cerrigydrudion to Bryn S.M. Followed fence line from NW - just a couple of boggy patches to circumnavigate, then rejoined Hiraethog Trail using direct northerly bearing.Smudge25/11/2011
Used Hiraethog trail and up through thick heather. Came down easily by following the fence - no heather. Very nasty experience being 'chased' by 40 steers - can see how you could get killed quite easily.destaylor24/06/2011
Park near Ty Mawr where farmers are friendly and used the track from WNW to access trig. High point to me appears 2 meters ENE of trig. Got back to car to spend 20 mins helping farmers get sheep into yard. Dry but windy.Dugswell221/05/2011
Parked at cattle grid past Bryn Deiol. ROW to open access ground. Faint track to the top. Trig S of fencechrisbien11/04/2011
Followed paths to so-called access land. No access to or from it so two barbed wire fences to negotiate It's access 'over my dead body' land in Wales!chriswatson15/09/2010
Squeezed car in on verge at Ty-mawr, followed Hireathog Trail and then through thick heather to summit.PeteF03/03/2010
