Parked to south near Horseshoe falls car park, then up FP, past rotting sheep carcass. Good views from top.PeterD19/10/2022
On a circuit from the SunTrevor Inn barns. along the LLangollen canal to Horseshoe Falls car park. Up from the car park (took a rather steep route where the public right of way is on the map however there is a much better path coming up from further around. Followed the path over the ridge to the end , then down to the pillar, then the Abbey and back along the Clwydian Way. 10.2 mile circuit 1,189ft climbing.JulieB04/10/2022

From car park near Chainbridge Hotel. We found the intial signposting confusing but soon got onto the lovely, open ridge, over the HP and right along the spine of the hill which has the main path. At houses/gardens, it doubled back to the A543 by the RoW crossing the river. Just where we needed to be to go up Fron Fawr. With Pete.pwheeler21/03/2022
Free parking on layby near Horseshoe Car Park. Quick up and down.PGCE05/02/2022
From car park near Chainbridge Hotel. There's a signpost directing you to the hill but when you get to the stile, the arrow points right - to the path that contours the hill. Instead, take the less obvious path to the left. Super little hill.Wycombe Wanderer25/01/2022
20 mins up and down from the car park near the chain bridge in. Beautiful views up and down the valley.Nicky C20/11/2021

3/3 Llangollen is a challenge as every one of its hills requires a bit of planning and understanding, and are each their own endeavour. This was a fine Hill, as if God just plopped it there.tumpawumpa06/04/2019

Called velvet hill for a reason- short cropped soft grass. Several summits on delightful ridge with views of autumnal woods along the river, ruined abbey and interlocking hills. Elisegs pillar to east worth visitingDenise 13/11/2018
Layby N. of hotel at SJ 19870 43330 - Up to junction & then up steps & through wood to stile - Over stile, turned left & alongside fence up to ridge - Good path along ridge to summit knoll. (S)gerrybowes13/11/2018
From the S, didn't find the path so steeply up through the crispy frongs of dead bracken and scattered birch with pale golden leaves bright in the morning sun. Join path on grassy ridge, As AJ arrive on S Top convinced it was high point until at N summit! Bowling green grass/moss and superb views. Slithering all over the place today should have worn better boots.RichardM13/11/2018
From busy parking area to S of hill, kayakers, dog walkers, cyclists and one bagger. Into wood, soon over stile then left 100m, track to top. First summit looked as high on arrival, not so when on N summit.Aye Jimmy14/01/2018
10.1 mile walk from car park near Berwyn Station, walked along minor road to Rhewl then climbed up good path near Cymmo Farm across fern slopes onto Graig-Ddu (for first time) then climbed obvious steep tracks onto Moel Morfydd, Moel.Y.Gaer and Moel.Y.Gamelin (bagged these 3 previously in 2010) and along little trails through ferns onto Maesyrychen Mountains (first time) and followed paths back to road near Llantysilio farm, turned left along more minor road and across field paths to Coed Hyrddyn (first time) along this nice little hill back to car park, overcast with brief bursts of sun, then drove home just beating the bank holiday rush.DanTrig25/08/2017
