Large cairn with concrete platform. Snow on rough grass. Rivet in south east side of platform. No bolt found in Centre of frozen cairn but not ideal conditions. Sunny clear wild views. | Denise | 19/01/2023 |
From Bryn Dinas, easy-going over grassy pasture to summit cairn. Survey rivet set on south south-east edge of concrete pad. The usual great views of green valleys and snow-capped hills including the Llyn peninsula and Bardsey island. Sunshine and now mainly clear skies. | RichardM | 19/01/2023 |
Parked against cemetery wall by old chapel at SN 6273 9852 & up RoW to Bryn Dinas. From Bryn Dinas, back along RoW to junction just beyond stile at 642998, forked right & along ATV track to meshed gate in col - Over adjacent low fence & then fairly straightforward up to summit cairn. Descended to gate at 934998 & then track down to Erwfaethlon & road. Farmer was friendly, but a bit unhappy that I had come down the track which isn't a RoW. Also concerned that, unavoidably, I had walked through paddock containing cattle with calves. | gerrybowes | 02/06/2022 |
From the car park on the minor road to the SE. Walked along the road to the Row sign S of the hill. Followed the pleasant path up the SW shoulder of Bryn Dinas, leaving the path at the col, and over grass to the summit of Corlan Fraith. Good views along the coastline. On to Bryn Dinas. | LizH | 05/03/2022 |
Parked at end of tarmac, near SH 114, on the dead-end road going SE from Bryncrug. A round of Corlan Fraith, Bryn Dinas, Tarren Cwm-fferno and Pen Trum-gwr. | PGCE | 11/11/2020 |
Up the very nice grassy hill track to slightly marshy col area and easily up to summit cairn. More direct back to track lower down. With B and R. | jenx | 13/03/2020 |
From SH627012 at the end of the track from Ryd-yr-onen via the two Dodds, Trum Gelli and Bryn Dinas | Galltywenallt | 06/03/2020 |
On Rhydyronen -Corlan Fraith- Bryn Dinas- Tarren Cwm-ffernol -Pen Trum-gwr- Brynglas Sta. walk. The path to the NNE was very steep and the stream difficult to cross there so we went up the other side of the side valley up a more easy-angled curving ridge. This led to a 5 min bog crossing but we still thought it was a better route. The ROW doesn't have a path but it does have a gate at SH 6289 0064. From here, Pete and I comfortably reached the summit via SH 6316 0015 without crossing any barbed wire. Good cairn and summit ridge. | pwheeler | 13/09/2018 |
Parked in layby (or long passing place - still left room for passing) at 992649 and went up the track opposite past Dysyrnant where there were three noisy sheepdogs. Climbed Bryn Dinas then over to two Deweys (Tarren Cwm-ffernol and Pen Trum-gwr) before retracing my steps and going across to Corlan Fraith and descending the same track. Great January sunny day - about 4 hours. | clivevilla | 26/01/2018 |
With K. Attempted to park at road end to NW but this is impossible. Parked near entrance to footpath to S. Route unproblematic. | Ashley | 29/07/2017 |

Simple climb from the top of the track from Cwrt to Bryncrug | jim pererin | 01/07/2015 |

Easy parking at telephone box NW. Tried to follow paths to the Motte but not there behind the farm. So took mainly pasture ridge all the way. Some bw. | destaylor | 07/09/2012 |
started from the road/track to the north.climbed up the very steep path to the NNE and then onto the summit. With andrew brown. | DARRENG | 26/08/2012 |
From Dolgoch station via Pen Trum-gwr and Trum Gelli to take in Corlan Fraith before finishing at Rhyd-yr-onen station. | summitsup | 11/08/2012 |
Chap sunbathing in his garden in Happy Valley did not seem happy when I walked through his garden next to the chapel - how was I to know he was there? | Martin R | 26/06/2011 |
From Erwtaethlon on a footpath well to the east of my planned route, by silage bales, through sheep by long fields to cross a wire fence, down over rough stuff via a gate onto the bridal path that I wanted to be on from the beginning. Up on path and bee line over rough tussock to skyline, turned left by wire fence, over another fence and uphill to the very large cairn.14.00. OS platform bolt under the cairn. | arranc | 12/09/2010 |
