A round of Pen Carreg Gopa and associated Tumps from Furnace car park. Very tough going (deep bracken, endless brambles, deep tufted grass / slashed forest) perfectly designed to put your partner of Hump / Tump bagging! | BaggerGutt | 03/12/2022 |
Parked in wide track entrance by Badger Lodge at SH 7082 9389 - Along track to start of some stone walling on left, about 350m beyond Pemprys - Made way up between large areas of dead bracken, easily over an old wire fence & then decent enough going to the summit cairn. 10 ponies grazing at around 380m. From by Badger Lodge, up the track to Pemprys then more or less straight up and down Pen Carreg Gopa and then Foel Einion on the other side of the valley. Both quite steep and mainly pathless. | clivevilla | 21/04/2021 |
As others: from parking near Badger Lodge. | PGCE | 10/02/2021 |

Tussocky going from the east, Pen y Darren [Moel Hyddgen]. Easy down to the SW to the ruined Pemprys and then to the parking at the picnic area at SN 70757 94016 near Badger Lodge. | Alan Moore | 08/04/2017 |
Approach was from the Artists Valley over Foel Einion first. Route onward to Moel Gors Goch in the forest pretty dismal indeed. | Alex C | 03/09/2015 |
