Pleasant walk via track from the station.Rob Rees25/11/2023
As gerrybowes and LizH- pleasant walking and gradients with local views on an unsettled views. Summit photos with Sugar Loaf in valley below. Soon after the cloud rolled in and a heavy shower ensued. The station would be more accurately named Moel Bylchau but that wouldn't sell so many tickets as Sugar Loaf! With Pete.pwheeler19/09/2023
between masts in sheep pasture. Accessed from forest to SW after SugarloafDenise 31/07/2023
From the SW, vegetated forest track then fields of sheep pasture. Levelish pasture summit. High point unmarked between the 2 masts. Sun trying to break through cumulus SW wind. Good views GPS 4m acc.RichardM31/07/2023

Obvious route from the stationColin Crawford26/06/2015
thin snow made it more scenic. from station, up via sweeping track, down via straight line.dicky01/02/2015
Parking at access track for Sugar Loaf Halt. Over an expansive livestock rly bridge (flush bracket bagged). Turned left and took wide farm track for 600m then right onto a sheep track up onto the hill, thus avoiding the fern. Extensive grassy summit with 2 separate comms compounds; 2 horses also - these seem a permanent feature! Direct route down - shorter and more fun.jonglew07/09/2014
Park on grass above Sugar Loaf railway station, then over bridge, turned right to angle up this steepish slope with Phil Cooper. Lovely flattish summit with masts. Then headed east along top then back down steeping slope to track back to bridge. Then off to picnic site to park and climb to top of Sugar Loaf viewpoint a possible P30.Dugswell218/11/2012
Parked at Sugar Loaf Halt and took direct route to summit with Alan H and George M. Horse was still there! A handy cafe in layby on A483 opposite. We didn't have the Trippel Breakfast.chriswatson17/11/2012
Parked in an access area for forest walks. Along busy A483 to a path to a small bridge crossing the Shrewsbury to Llanelli railway. Pleasant walk uphill on a dry vehicle access track to the crest and then on green sheep pastures by a wire fence to the top with masts at 12.20.arranc08/08/2012

Nice walk (with the wife) up the track from by the station, accompanied by the sound of automatic gunfire !heavyhorses27/09/2011
Sergeant Bilko. Spiky with masts - I thought the companies agreed to share them. Parked near Sugarloaf station and used the track over the railway bridge all the way.Martin R05/08/2011
