Then one wall to stuggle over and eastwards to the true summit. Then returned to the bridleway and down to Scar Side and back up to the B6260 on the C2C. Solo. | Man of Kernow1 | 01/09/2019 |

From Sayle Lane, a few places OK to park eg NY 6629 1142 after asking farmer. Then a fascinating walk up a bw followed by wandering about limestone clints and grikes, visiting candidate HPs, Castle Folds settlement, looking at butterflies and moths on a warm day with some sunshine. Spent 3h here, and met several people/groups visiting for the first time-like me. The 2000 ft cloud base made this a particularly good area to explore today. | pwheeler | 22/07/2018 |
From the SW, along Knott Lane to Powson Knott trig pillar first. | jonglew | 05/07/2018 |

Trig point only. Wall between trig and summit looked very fragile and it wasn't worth risking damaging it | PeteN | 27/12/2017 |
With Jo, revisit from lay-by at Street. Along road, up Knott Lane, firstly to Powson Knott Trig, then crossing wall to Knott. Weather; sunny at first, cloudy later with a cool breeze. Good visibility. | amblerbob | 08/11/2017 |
Parked on grass verge close to N. end of Knott Lane (farm track/public byway) at 640084. E. on grass track alongside wall & then headed N. up W. side of wall to ridge - Wall damaged just before wall junction so crossed here - Headed E. along S. side of wall to a few stones on top of a small mossy hump & assumed this to be the summit. (S) | gerrybowes | 04/11/2017 |
Expected grikes but nearly all short grass. From the very top of Knott Lane with 25,000. Follow grass track along top wall to transverse wall up to the ridge: left for trig, back and right for Bagger's Summit. Back down jump on the bike and ride home. Easy. | Eddie | 25/10/2017 |
Ascended by Knott Lane and headed for the trig point and then followed wall, which needed to be crossed to reach the summit. | JohnW | 04/10/2017 |
Started from parking at disused quarry to the north west and via Beacon Hill. Wall between Trig Point and summit needs to be climbed unless a less direct route is taken. | Fisky Boy | 17/09/2017 |
With Fisky Boy. | Brenda Cloke | 17/09/2017 |
Breezy grey day but lovely views all round. From Knott Lane with Rick and Bryher. | jenx | 28/08/2017 |
W Jenx and Bryher this time up from end of the lane, past water works and angled across rising ground to Trig. Over wall and along same to the claimed high point. Needs a survey! Back down following wall to pastures below, following old track on the up hill side all way back to starting point, nicer line back. | nordicstar | 28/08/2017 |
With K and RM. Parked at 640 084. Used larch tree at approximately 645 092 near trig to navigate. Limestone pavement very enjoyable. | Ashley | 14/08/2017 |
On a backpack from the road above Orton. Camped North of the summit. Amazing place. | mick | 16/07/2017 |
Parked in Knott Lane. Along lane and onto grazing and limestone pavements. One wall to cross. | Campbell Singer | 08/08/2016 |
Walk along Asby Scar from Sunbiggin Tarn(parking) to Orton, a pint, and back past the Scarside Stone Circle. Castle Folds worth a visit too. | Northender | 05/08/2016 |
Plentiful parking on the verges down Knott Lane (alt 869ft), however, usage is not recommended after wet weather as road easily floods and verges are very soft (verges required for turning). Pass through the gate at the end and, if visiting the trig head straight up. If going straight to the top head diagonally upwards picking up a series of sheep tracks. One wall to negotiate, but enough gaps to mean it is not much of a problem. 2.62 miles, 498 ft ascent, 70 minutes return. | moorsman | 02/03/2016 |
Visited the trig, summit and stone circle with Sail, Danu & Alfie. | Dangerous Dave | 01/11/2015 |
