I got the bus to this one - for committed baggers only. The SE viewpoint ten minutes walk away is worth doing - great views from there, which you can't exactly say about this hill.Richard16/10/2021

Another ascent of this unattractive hill, a part of a longer run in the Gateshead area. Actual summit behind a fence, but near enough.Christo197911/07/2021
Highest point, between the mast and the reservoir, is not accessible from the main road as route is blocked by high fencing. Aim for Bluebell Close where you can park directly alongside, but separated from, the summit.moorsman25/10/2020

Newcastle drive about and rest day. 2 of 5. Genuine drive up to reservoir and radio mast compound opposite care home. Ground within compound is higher but man made. Looks like highest point is ground next to SW wall behind lamp postmntainman10/12/2019
Large concrete parking area by resr compound. HP most likely by the compound gates, opposite care home.jonglew31/08/2019

By secure comms enclosure, near covered reservoir in Bluebell Gardens, opposite care home. Walked round adjacent residential streets and nothing higher. Not inspiring.Denise 17/03/2019
We parked at the bottom of Bluebell Close in an attempt to make at least a token jesture of a walk of this hill. High point at gate to comms mast, or as good as.RichardM17/03/2019
Drive by, parked below the care home then up to enclosure wall... breezyN.Morters23/10/2018
Parked in front of gates to mast compound, a metre or so from the high point (fence junction). The banking against the wall is higher, but like the earthworks around the reservoir, it is man-made. (S)gerrybowes24/09/2018

Drove up and bagged on way home from work, reservoir wall makes the experience a little underwhelming.mrs_ts727/12/2017
Drove round Bluebell Close to both sides- it's one of those reservoirs that's about the same height at each end. Then saw Gateshead 1 Tranmere 0...times have changed since 5 years ago at Oldham Edge.Pete R18/11/2017
An easy revisit after Whitehills, that clearly a 'better' hill, at least for the viewnordicstar06/07/2017
