From A52. Easy bag but muddy track.Longwojo05/11/2023

Track from south past frisky bullocks. Reservoir fence has a weakness to squeeze through east side (38 inch chest maybe 40 max). Good views.Nick Canute25/06/2022
Via track to SW. Bad atmosphere feel around here. Not my favourite hill and doesn't feel like a HuMP.Wycombe Wanderer17/10/2021
Used the track from the A52. My brother stayed in the car, parked almost opposite. This is scruffy, edge of town countryside. I was only away 15 mins and at least got a view of The Wrekin and Caer Caradoc in improving weather. My brother bagged this in 2016, just recovering from a bad ankle injury and seeking out very easy Humps- this and Ashley Moor suited those circumstancespwheeler25/09/2021
Approached from east initially following RoW. Parking space available by disused gate.Adrian12/08/2021

Parked on the Side of the B Road to the East of the Summit next to a Field of Emu's a Buffalo's! Followed the A52 N to the Footpath and up through the first field. The Footpath looked unused and overgrown at this point so stepped over the BWF and headed NW to the dashed track on the map and followed this to its end where we crossed a Fence and BW. Skirted round the compound and squeezed through the railing to reach the summit.Jephcote8309/06/2021
I see others have mentioned problems with parking permission. There’s a rough spot on the verge of the A52, just opposite the cottage on corner of lane leading to the reservoir. This is clearly part of the highway, so can’t belong to anyone other than the council. The landowners would do better to put energy into tidying up the mess of rubble hereabouts than complain about harmless visitors.Pete West31/05/2021
8 of 15 on 45 mile bike ride. Dirt path trail from main road to summit reservoirThe-Z-Man31/12/2019
Wet and muddy service road then through the 'missing rail' gap next to the Hawthorn. No satisfactory natural high point. Ignored by farmer who arrived to check over his cows.RichardM11/11/2019
New track and fences. All a bit of a mess.jenx04/01/2019
With Jenx and Bryher from same off road parking near start of FP. Area like the Somme after farm road rebuild. Used their road then link to water board facility. Rhodis on a West side of fence much grown.nordicstar04/01/2019
Nice to be able to cycle right up the track to make this a quick, easy one.Alex C23/10/2018
Up the track and back before the fellow passengers finished their fags. The house that's set back complained to smokers that the gravel layby is private land.Eddie20/10/2018
Parked in loose stone layby at SJ 96292 47308 - Up access track to enclosed reservoir & only just managed to squeeze through the railings by the hawthorn tree near NW corner. Friendly farmer carrying out a lot of earthworks in order to improve access to his fields; he’s happy for walkers to use the track across his land. (S)gerrybowes19/09/2018
Walked through field of cows, hole in fence round the far side.Kniverbee15/08/2018
Managed to find a parking spot opposite the RoW to the S of the hill, although I was questioned by a house owner about what I was doing there. Couldn't locate the start of the RoW in the hedgerow so went through the driveway entrance just to the W and followed the reservoir access track up through a field of cows. Strangely a goat was on guard inside the compound.Wheelsy02/08/2018
Hardest thing was squeezing through the gap in the railings at the far side of the reservoir. Over the A52 for easy to approach but awkward to access trig point.tomandivy08/04/2018

4th log of 8 today on a 21.7 mile route from Longton to Blythe Bridge station via Park Hall Hill and its former top then over to Wetley Moor, dropping down to the road, veering off at Cellar Head onto A520 briefly before taking footpath called Abbey Road, i veered off this to go through a gate then steeply up through some rhododendron squeezed copse to reach the ridge and from there easily upto to the reservoir and the summit. I headed SE to intercept a footpath leading to the A522, continuing South onto Dairyhouse Lane, heading for Cheadle Park.Dazingdale27/01/2018
From the road. Along water compound access track. Walked the perimeter then accessed what appeared to be the high point at the NE end of the resr.jonglew24/01/2018
Easy enough along a track from the main road - some nice views.twg2726/12/2017
Parked in A52 layby near March Lane. Busy road. ROW is very boggy, so stuck to the track up to reservoir. Summit to NW. 21m ascent.RoguePulsar18/12/2017
Up track, and round to NW corner. Two places where one vertical piece of fence is missing and those of us who have a slim build can slip through. Those with a more stout stature might struggle!PGCE22/11/2017

Adderley Green to Cellarhead. Wasn't sure that I had enough time for this summit but managed a rapid stomp up to the top of the reservoir etc. and back down to bus stop with just enough leeway to change footwear.Smudge05/02/2017
Parked in lay-by at SJ963473. Boggy field to reservoir. Just about squeezed through railings to enter compound by rhododendrons. With Julie and Polly the dog.David Evans05/11/2016
Five Tump loop from Cheadle: Cheadle Park, Callow Hill, Blakeley Bank, Overmoor, Counslow Hill. Up reservoir track then over fence at NW corner as described by others. Descended SE across field to footpath.davidpettit8408/10/2016

With K. Don't trust the stile! Sent me flying as wasn't secured on far side. Very amusing. Had hoped to bag Ashley Heath but ran out of time - my band played gig in Stoke in evening.Ashley15/04/2016
