Frosty start from Linn of Quoich at 06:20am Walked whole way. Followed path through Glen Quoich and up An Diollaid. Reached Beinn a Bhuird as cloud rolled in descended to the Sneck after some dubious navigation in the clag. Very windy at Sneck. Up to Ben Avon due to the wind it was harder than I would have liked to get to the top of both the higher tors. Not sure which was higher but the south one was harder. Descent to Sneck down Glas Allt Mor then west through woods beside Quoich water to outward route. Walked at speed time taken including stops 7 hours 59 minutes for 23.2 milesisabelle05/10/2023

Freezing fog below, peaks above clouds in mild inversion, but cold wind so not warm on tops today. Large patches of frozen snow to run on, in microspikes, including some quite steep banks covering paths.NorfolkPT2119/12/2021
Solo - Both Tors at summit climbed this time. First time on the mountain it was to windy and slippy to get a hand to the summit.Topsaswell08/09/2021
Solo bike and hike from Keiloch taking in Ben Avon and Beinn a'Bhuird - ride into Gleann an-Slugain starts well, but gets progressively rougher - the last half-mile before the ruins was a bit too rough >.< Did anti-clockwise route from there - using the excellent path all the way along to the route up to The Sneck and hit up Ben Avon first - nice wee light scramble up the summit tor. The pull up Beinn a'Bhuird from The Sneck was a bit of a gravelly slog, and the plateau above was not particularly interesting - much like the pile of stones marking the (North) Summit of Beinn a'Bhuird -the 8th highest mountain in the UK deserves better! Was glad to get back to the bike though I walked out the first half mile again, as it looks barely rideable. Total time 7h 5mins.mproudfoot03/07/2021

Wed 31st with Phil Dant and Jeff, long walk in from SE. Noticed a couple about 4-500m ahead of us all the way. On the summit plateau I got a tripod out of my rucksack to take pic with telephoto lens of the summit tor. As I looked through the lens the couple emerged on to the summit and kissed. I didn't mange to capture the kiss on Film but did snap them standing there. When we passed them as they were returning, got chatting and learned that we'd just witnessed a final Munro kiss, without any other witnesses there. Also learned that they'd had about 30 Munros left scattered all over the place and being retired now in their sixties had been given instructions by their kids, fed up with all the Munro talk of them getting close etc. etc. to go up to Scotland and not to return till they'd mopped them all up. They'd not even decided on a final Munro and that had only crystalised in probably the final week. They are Munroists 2380/2381 and completed their tops in 2012.vegibagger31/05/2000
