from Leinthall Starkes, via FP past windmill, then up through trees on rough path. Summit area very pleasant. descended by longer, better, route back to FP.IanHHill19/02/2024
From Leinthall Starkes, ROW until opposite the windmill, across lovely meadows, then took direct route up the side through woods which was hard going, a scramble in places, but doable. Prob best with long trousers on. Pretty much same route back. SoloRoguePulsar04/06/2023
From Leinthall Starkes, up footpath covered with hundred tons of gravel then up through felled brash to top with bluebells. Descent by path NE over fallen trees back to yellow road and car.NormanW20/05/2022
From Leinthall Starkes, parking at start of RoW, past Windmill, then up to Forest and stile. Followed forest track up to ridge and past fading bluebells to top.PeterD06/06/2021
The path through the bluebells was absolutely stunning as I continued the ridge on to the west.Alex C14/05/2021
From the village to the south s duffel as possible after coming out of the gate at back of church abs then up the grass to left to forest gate and up track in woodland then the upper fields to mast and into top wood for summit.vegibagger04/11/2020
Parked close against the wall at the end of the RoW at Leinthall Starkes. Followed the RoW to the stile at SO 44813 69664, kept right at SO 45090 69551, then just before the farm gate turned sharp right on a track that deteriorated and was a bit overgrown in later parts, but did lead to the summit.LizH18/08/2020

Ascent from Leinthall Starkes as described by others. There is a stile into the woods where the ROW ends, then took forest road east and thhen two obvious right forks leading uphill (ridgetop track not shown on map). When we parked up a friendly local said it was possible to make a circuit by carrying along the ridge, which we did (good views), though ended up continuing too far. A well-used path leads back to the village from approx SO435692.milimana01/01/2019
FP from village, into woods at end of path and after a short distance East steeply up the deciduous plantation. Down more directly through conifers direct from summit to gain tracks not shown on 1:25k, into field some way West of initial entry, then path. With Jenx and Bryhernordicstar30/12/2018
Very steeply up and down once away from footpath across field.jenx30/12/2018
Vergeside parking in Leinthall Starkes, alt 134m. Easy, well walked, public footpath right up to the trees. Keep walking across the pasture alongside the trees until you can see the forestry road across the fencing. Join this and follow it until a good track heads uphill to the right. This leads to the summit. 4.08km return. 60 minutes.moorsman09/08/2018
The standard route up past the impressive windmill. Descent in the light of the supermoon.RichardM31/01/2018
With K. On footpath from village to north. Once in wood keep left crossing fence in wood using stile. Weak path through undergrowth comes out on forestry track, turn left. Forestry track immediately ends and becomes agricultural track which descends slightly. Veer right up hill on track (proper track not true disused one). AAfter curving round take first right up to summit.Ashley10/09/2017

Like many others started at Limebrook and walked across sheep grazed pastures and past the windmill. Turned left when I reached the woods, took the first track on the right, then another right turn and I was on a narrow track which led all the way to the top.Herbert Anchovy16/03/2015
Approach from minor road to the SW through Sasel Wood, then E and NE following Forestry edge. Pass small reservoir?.... Then continue past mobile mast to summit.glaslyn20/01/2015

Parked at enterance to forest to SW and followed over grown tracks to gain summit ridge early so gentle ridge walk from there. Dry and occasionally windy.Dugswell226/11/2011
Through a gate into the estate to a brushed grass ascent by the side of a wood. Pheasants all over the place. Turned left on south side of uncut wheat field to uninhabited Gatley Barn. Through 2 gates detoured along the edge of the 3' high wheat field, turned right past the mast to the field edge. GPS point was just over a BWF into a wood. 10.15.arranc24/08/2011
