Car park to NE at ST 7978 6639 - Despite the heavy rain, an enjoyable walk on one of the many paths up through a well-managed ancient woodland to Browne's Folly. Carefully climbed the 67 steps of the folly's open staircase & took even greater care coming down! (S)gerrybowes13/05/2021
Xan’s birthday party. Into the mines at Shakespeare’s then the stables, amphitheatre, Clapham, southern stables etc exiting through Muddy Hole. Cooked sausages by the big tree and then home via the folly.Herbert Anchovy25/04/2021

Sunday pm walk with M and X. To Sally in the Woods. Saw 5 bats in the caves there. Home via folly. Loads of recent felling to clear moribund trees with ash dieback so they don’t fall on people. I quite like the new look but terrible to think of the devastation to this common species.Herbert Anchovy07/03/2021
Ran up to Kingsdown, paths to Monkton Farleigh and home through woods via folly.Herbert Anchovy06/03/2021

Nasty looking wound although it looked happy enough. Went down to the yew council and back after a walk around Hobhouse. Very muddy everywhere.Herbert Anchovy28/11/2020
