Trig now been cleared of undergrowth, but still within the high fence of the comms compound. One for the Rayner collapsible ladder I think.PGCE05/03/2018
Dusky walk up from the SW up the bridleway and field to the towers and may and fenced in enclosures. Pity the trig wasn't accessible.vegibagger17/12/2017
Parked at entrance to compound, easy walk up to fence. Trig well and truly buried.PeterD12/12/2017
Parked at entrance to mast compound, walk up to highpoint by fence, No sign of trig, just a huge mass of brambles now obscuring it.nordicstar07/10/2017
Up to mast enclosure. Trig well hidden behind big fence.jenx07/10/2017
Viewed through fence . Sunny . Nice viewsDenise 07/04/2017
Up service track to transmitter compound. Trig point only ~10m from fence in bramble thicket on what appears as an unnatural mound. Decided not to tackle the high fence. Good views of Torbay.RichardM07/04/2017
...fence just a wee bit challenging - I think I could have got over BUT not sure about back. I'll settle for close.M3WDD18/06/2016

Parked at the entrance gate for the masts. Peered through the railings at the trig point and anything else of interest. Didn't fancy climbing over the fence. Solo.bolton18/10/2015
As per previous descriptions.ijpowell28/07/2015
3/8 Another easy walk from road to be greeted by trig pillar 3 metres behind an unbreachable fence !Fergalh31/05/2015
Probably wouldn't have bothered going over the gate but for the trig pillar. Not the easiest 'up-and-overs' as gate around 8' high with b/w strands atop, getting out of the compound was a little more difficult. HP seems to be approx 8m NW of trig.jonglew16/11/2014
Parked at start of track.Chris Peart28/07/2014
Viewed from gate.Kim04/04/2013
Circumnavigated via footpath to the east and south and roads to east and north. Fine views from footpath across Torbay to Brixham and back to Dartmoor. Six padlocks on the gates to the nearby reservoir!Newton Maximus27/12/2012
From Totnes Road to compound then the field beyond.chrisbien23/05/2012
Got my head above the trig but no access inside the compound on a dry, grey morning after Slappers Hill.Dugswell214/03/2012
A LOVELY SPRING DAY. WALKED FROM TORQUAY SEAFRONT VIA COCKINGTON COURT (LUNCH)AND GOT AS CLOSE TO TRIG POINT AS FENCE ALLOWS.BURGESS01/03/2012
Easy parking to N. Locked and firmly bolted.destaylor08/12/2011
Got my head above the trig but no access inside the compound on a Sunday.chriswatson23/01/2011
Large mast compound.arranc19/01/2011
Trig point inside one of the hills compounds, you can get a good photo through the fence which is nearly level with the trig. The trig is on a tumulus.hodder07/09/2010
Couldn't enter compound to reach trig. Trampled through brambles to get to within 6 metres by fence, probably just as high.webmaster12/08/2010
last 1 of my week in the south west, workers on site so managed to get to the trigpoint.asbown18/06/2009
A quick stop on the way to Cornwall. 2nd top of the day.Overthehilljill03/05/2009
Trig in inaccessible compound. Parked in field entrance at end of track to S and ran up through field full of poo - trig a few metres away and barely higher than us so decided it would count. Good views of sea to SE.wheresthepath25/09/2007
Got as close to transmitters as possible.Very wet day.Nice masts.electricratman14/08/2007
In amongst the transmittersRhayader_wander26/05/2007
You won't get to this trig unless you're lucky & meet up with a telecom guy with a key! Forced a circuit of compound as near to fence as I could (which is pretty tough on the east side) and climbed up wire so my head was above top of trig!!signyred05/05/2007
The trig point is just inside a mast compound. Good views in some directions.Father Ted16/04/2006
Date is first visit. Notes from later...unprepossessing summit; OK views. highest pt strictly inside of security-fenced compound; parking feasible nr summit but not on road RHW07/06/2003
