12k Circular walk taking in Haddington Hill and Pavis Wood. Nice easy walk, a lot of woodland and the occasional view of the rolling Chilterns Hills. Neither of the HPs are particularly of note.jarmin4518/01/2020
25km trail running from Wendover library car park - Haddington Hill, Pavis Wood & Coombe Hill. Nice run in from the woods shame about the top itself!Fionalevey08/11/2019

Started from St Mary's Church in Wendover, followed Ridgeway path through Hale Wood, past Chivery Hall farm & mast and into Pavis Wood. Exiting NE corner of wood, high point is unmarked & innocuous some 75 metres south along Gadmore Lane. Taken to be where large oak forms part of hedge on eastern boundary of road.timbo9910/07/2019

Parked at the corner on the high point as a detour from a journey on the M1. We were going to wander over to Wendover Woods to tick off Buckinghamshire too, but lots of wind and not much time due to earlier traffic meant we decided to leave that for another trip.jkl12/10/2018
Final and 6th hill of the day on Stage 7 of the Ridgeway walk with Lesley, having detoured off to climb Whiteleaf Hill, Pulpit Hill, Beacon Hill, Coombe Hill and Wendover Woods, this was a very short wander up the road, into the field, with the highest point being near the Oak tree within the hedge itself. Lovely part of the Ridgeway to come was the walk through Tring Park. Tring station was our destination but it seemed to take an age to get to...Dazingdale27/09/2018
Layby at corner of road. Walked up road and wandered around field.mart079714/08/2018
Parked at the layby by the junction of Shire lane and Gadmore lane. Walked along the roadside verge to highest point and then also had a few minutes stroll along the Ridgeway. Perhaps the most uninspiring county summit so far, give me a walk up a hill and trig point summit any day!Gerry the Ranger04/08/2018

A six and a half mile county top walk,This is easily reached when doing Buckinghamshire's high point. leave wendover woods car park by the exit (not the entrance like me) then turn left until you reach the Ridgeway path on the left hand side of the road and follow for a few miles, past a communications tower through pavis wood to the road which marks the boarder turn left on a sharp bend is Hertfordshires high point. I continued till I reached the junction just to be sureWAYNE ROWLETT09/08/2015

Technically I did not have to get out of the car for this one - but I had a walk around - very nice hot and sunny spring afternoon. It would be a very peaceful spot - no other cars in 40 minutes but a plane flies over every 5.M3WDD16/05/2015

Walk up from Tring. Top is unclear, we settle for edge of woodand. After circular walk in lovely weather we get back to Tring. The Akerman on return to Tring is very disappointing. Tooks good, but very load music, beer is off and hot chocolate (Marie) is cold. On no account miss the natural hisroty museum in tring (unless you are allergic to stuffed creatures). Its a truly remarkable place and even had the BBC wildflife photos of the year exhibition on while we were there, watched over by a vast elepahnt seal!mcf02/12/2012
