Signed up for a free Wedding Event (advertised on Knowsley Hall website, events page). Gave access to the wedding venue and grounds. Visited Knowsley Park trig, summit and Hag Brow. Didn't see anyone other than the parking attendant. Nice parkland, shame it is not easier to access. | PGCE | 26/02/2023 |
06:30, 17 degrees, calm, overcast. Adventure with Bag For Life, similar route to jonglew. Marvellous, traditional parkland, surprisingly good view from summit. On to Hag Brow. | Wycombe Wanderer | 26/09/2021 |

A wedding at Knowsley Hall I was invited to enabled me to escape for 40 minutes after the reception and wander this wonderful estate. My one and only top ascended in a suit and tie! | bolton | 02/07/2021 |
Asked for permission at security. As it was bucketting down with rain and no one was doing anything, they took me in their vehicle. | moorsman | 07/03/2020 |

Planned visit arranged through estates office and taken to trig, highest point and Hag Brow by security in a 4x4. Many thanks to them for the visit. | Alan Caine | 17/02/2019 |
Entered the safari park for free with their ‘foot safari’ and made our way to the tapir viewing platform and then along the south of the boating lake. As the place was pretty busy it didn’t seem the right time to ask for favours so pro tem that will have to do. | Newton Maximus | 28/12/2018 |
Thanks to all in the estate management office for granting access and to Chris from the estate security team for taking me around. First time bagged summits driven there in a 4x4!
Visited trig point, nearby summit and Hag Brow. Can’t think of another time when camels visible from a summit! Lovely afternoon. Sunny but biting cold wind. | Beeliner | 13/12/2018 |
From parking in South Avenue, up to Junc.2 of M57, onto Paddock Road & N. along edge field to wall - Over wall to W. of stream at SJ 45742 93169, turned left & along track for about 100m to gap in wall - N. through paddocks, Riding Hill woodland, & then pasture to grassy summit mound. | gerrybowes | 08/11/2018 |
The Kirkby Milers were holding a 10 mile road race in the grounds. Paid £5 entrance fee to park in the grounds for a walking Safari ticket and made my way to tower, trig and high point in that order. Good views. | PeterD | 07/10/2018 |

Should have used wellies as Dugswell, lower parkland very soggy and muddy. Trig first then the others. | Aye Jimmy | 26/01/2018 |
Tourist route with wellies and head torch before the forecast rain and wind arrived. Grid ref recorded at summit was SJ 45634 94345. No Peter Collins on view. | Dugswell2 | 23/01/2018 |

With Carole Engel on a Christmas day round of 13 hills and a pile of pillars. Parked on South Ave, off Manchester Rd. Accessed the park at SJ 4595 9323. Through Riding and Stand Woods. Trig pillar first, then the hill via White Man statue. On to Hag Brow. No access into safari park needed. Couldn't recommend this route during working hours as estate workers likely to be encountered; night assault probably best. | jonglew | 25/12/2017 |
Wall easy to scale with help of cross fencing at SJ 5495 9323 | carole engel | 25/12/2017 |
AGENT VICTOR PORN! Recover Ten forest Emus. Gps recorded summit as SJ45636 94347. | Dazingdale | 08/12/2017 |
I concur with Dugwell's post. A lovely evening had by all in a beautiful location. | Alan Caine | 11/08/2017 |
Driving along the M57 or around the safari park doesn't get you near the trig or Tump summit. I have visited the safari park on many occasions as a government vet to monitor the carnivores to check how they are fed and how their food is obtained and stored. This got me into locations where the public are not allowed including the former joint county top.
Tonight I went to Knowsley Hall to see an open air play on the lawns beside the hall with Alain Caine and Jane Holland. The Hall is around 1 km from the trig and Tump.
Trig, Tump and Culture at Knowsley Hall but with proper planning it was no comedy of errors. We got in earlier than planned. Then Alan Caine quickly located the head of security and the rest is history. Back in time for a Peter Collins cocktail and the play. Thanks again Jane Holland for keeping our places near the front. Just so lucky to get in early. | Dugswell2 | 10/08/2017 |
On a visit to many county high points around Manchester and Liverpool, got as near as i could without paying to go in the safari park. | magirob | 16/03/2017 |
Bagged! How you ask, does he know the Lord? No, but I am a member of a running club and the Northan Cross Country Championships were run here, the route put on their website goes within 50m west of trig point, short walk, trees stop views apart to Billenge Hill, runners warming up at lower levels, cost £5 to park the car. Check their website for next years race?. | Walkingthedog | 28/01/2017 |

Many thanks to Liz at the estate for organising access for us, and to Mark the security guard for taking us to the high point in torrential rain. Gorgeous mansion & estate grounds. Apply through the estate office email address on the Knowsley Hall website - apparently they only allow 6 bagging visits per year. | wheresthepath | 16/07/2012 |
Thanks to special permission & security guard Chris, I was able to walk to trig (BM S3516), high ground to E + Hag Brow with Darren G. GPS peaked at 103m at 1st two & 102m overlooking zebras in Safari Pk. Highest spot seems E of trig @ SJ 45637 94346 | signyred | 30/03/2012 |
