Caldy Hill & Poll Hill from Wirral Way. Walked up from Dee shore so felt a little bit more like a hill. | TK | 01/01/2024 |
Followed the sea wall path and then the Wirral Way as far as Banks Road, then up through Heswall Dales and by suburban roads past the tennis club to the summit. Descended to Tesco Heswall to complete my walk. 6.6km, with 135m of ascent. | Man of Kernow1 | 16/12/2023 |
A diversion off walking round the Wirral coast to bag the UA top. Sleeting rain; desolate woodland and a broken litter bin. | PhilipChaston | 19/11/2023 |
From Quarry Road East, up Tower Road North. | peter4lc | 11/10/2023 |
Had to settle for a morning ticking off a couple on The Wirral after car trouble en route to the Berwyn Mountains-
Not quite how I envisioned the day panning out, but another CT ticked off none the less. | Alfa1M | 26/09/2023 |
A tour of Gorse Hill, Caldy Hill and Poll Hill (but not Prenton Hill) after Mount Manisty cruise.

After a nice day walking round Thurstaston Hill (a very nice top, although not on hill-bagging.co.uk - but worthy of an honourable mention) I called in here on the way home.
Probably the shortest walk from my car to get to a top. | JK | 09/01/2022 |

On my own. Drove up Tower Road North and found to my surprise that I was there. Not a lot more to say, walked around a bit to try to find the very highest point, by silver birch seams right. | Walkingthedog | 08/12/2019 |
Whiling away a warm afternoon with Lindsey. Up the sandstone alley adescribed in other logs to natural HP at end of Tower Road North. True HP is in compound on top of covered reservoir. | Skip | 19/05/2019 |
A pity that this summit of Wirral is not 3km NW along
the same sandstone ridge at the much finer, open heathland and craggy rise at Thurstaston Hill. Below is the Wirral Way a 12 mile route following the old railway which I walked as a teenager with a school friend having been inspired to return when we discovered its existence on a geography trip to Wirral Country Park. | Chris Pearson | 29/03/2019 |
On own. Short walk from Tower Road North. | Beeliner | 11/03/2019 |
Surely the easiest tump in the UK? Heswall is fun and a little schizophrenic. | nwormgage | 03/01/2019 |
4/7 Wirrumping with Nwormgage. Joyously easy, parked pretty much at the summit. Saw a woman without a head - The headless woman of Heswall. | tumpawumpa | 03/01/2019 |
A pleasant spot in amongst the houses. I'd probably been here before but didn't keep a record of it. | Alan Moore | 12/12/2018 |

From Poll Hill Road up the alleyway hewn from sandstone. Agree that hp is probably at top end of alley in Tower Road North. | Campbell Singer | 26/11/2017 |
With Alex C. Hopped over fence into compound and up onto covered reservoir, but natural HP probably at the end of Tower Road North. | jonglew | 07/10/2017 |
Short stroll from Tower Road North. I checked out various points but where I'd parked seemed as good as any | Colin Crawford | 07/10/2017 |
Parked at the end of Tower road south. Wandered around grass, scrubby birch and benches with Bryher, dog not impressed. Been on better County tops she said. | nordicstar | 22/07/2017 |
1st of the 4 Wirral hills climbed from Heswall station via Whitfield common. Highest point is either the Asphalt next to the communications tower, beside the birch or in the gorse. I thrashed about in it and got the same readings so could be several points that qualify. I continued on same level, took bridleway sw then Nw past Oldfield farm & then fp past alongside the 'Dungeon' to reach the Wirral Way. Next hill: Caldy bill. | Dazingdale | 29/04/2017 |
In my suit whilst working in the area, got to be one of the easiest bags. Only because it's on a list! | Rob50 | 07/03/2017 |
West Kirkby to Heswall stations over Cadly, Thurstaston and Poll Hill. Highest point on the Wirral but the nadir of my day. | Jake994 | 02/12/2016 |

Mmmmm!! | mart0797 | 27/01/2016 |
The end of Tower Rd North is within a few metres of summit. Highest spot looked to be near some silver birch on opposite side of path rather than by railings. | Aye Jimmy | 20/01/2016 |
A quick walk up from Tower Road South on the way back from a walk around Caldy Hill, Thurstaton and the Wirral Way. Not that impressive, but an easy one to tick off. | Lazylizzie | 02/01/2016 |
