From Ballachulish up Gleann an Fhiodh and Mam Uchdaich, then along long undulating ridge and back. Very boggy underfoot, with soft slippery snow on final steep summit slopes. Light winds and clear throughout. 21.5km, 6h 50Rockdoctor24/03/2024
From Ballachulish with Minto, the third of 3 tops. Minto went on to bag the main summit which I had already visited.NormanW26/02/2023
A good lunch point to view the dauntingly steep slopes to the Corbett summit above.Minto26/02/2023
Fraochaidh (Heathery Hill) from Ballachulish. Followed often wet path towards Glen Creran up the valley, forded the burn (easy) and up to the gate into the forest. Then turned right up nice track that follows the old boundary fenceposts along the NE ridge to the summit, taking in the NE Top, Far East Top, and the minor East Top. Retraced outward route back to Ballachulish. A round trip of 22km with 1240m ascent, taking 7h30m.silveracorn_alan02/06/2022
Parked in the Duror forest car park. Good forest track up SW side of Glen Duror, then logging track mentioned by Owen B and others below to the 2 lochans. Steady walk up shoulder to ridge and summit. Interesting summit cairn design with old metal fence posts. Continued along ridge to Fraochaidh Far East top and Fraochaidh NE top, before descending to river from Mam Uchdaich. Path down is marked with occasional posts but seems to differ from that shown on map. Crossed river and returned on lower track through Duror forest to car park. Enjoyable day with good views all round. Solo.richard6927/05/2022
Parked in the Ballachulish car park. Up the glen, then Glen Creran path to ridge. Visited both Fraochaidh Simms and the sub, before dropping N to forest. Down a timber haulage track to valley bottom, then track and path back to Ballachulish. Visited both highpoints.PGCE16/05/2022
From elleric along the road to fasnacloich track then through woods south of eas an dibligh to beinn mhic na ceisich south top, meall ban, A mhaoile, beinn mhic na ceisich, stob coire chaluim, leitir dhriseag, fraochaidh east top, fraochaidh far east top, dropped down through newly planted tree area to the track and back along to elleric.robertphillips16/10/2020
From the Glen Duror car park. Along the forest track ROW towards Ballachulish until it reached the junction cairn about a kilometre from exiting the forest. Tried to find and follow the marked footpath up to the coll linking the Fraochaidh tops to Sgorr a' Choise, but it is very overgrown and difficult to locate at times. Anyway, got to the coll and then easy going along ridge path to the Far East Top, East Top, Leitir Dhriseag and Fraochaidh summit. A lovely route. Descended down the NW flank to the lochans just above the forest line. Found the steep track through the plantation using the coordinates supplied by Topographer57 - cheers man! then down to the old River Duror bridge crossing point (easy to hop over using exposed rocks at this time of year) back onto the forest track to the car park. A 5 hour round in blazing sunshine only relieved by a touch of summit mist.summitter15/08/2020

Standard approach from Ballachulish. Boggy path and heathery slopes but great undulating ridge once on top. Not much snow. Sunny and light wind. Fantastic views to mull, cruachan, blackmount, glen etive, glencoe, mammores, glenfinnan and morvern, 7 hours.alexmaclennan10/03/2015
Walked from Ballachulish w Jenx, from NN080577 after tea at the Quarry cafe, good track to NN069548 where the Glen Creran path dissapears! Wet ascent to the ridge, which soon dries out to a great switchback to summit. Back same way.nordicstar23/07/2011

Cairngorm Club weekend meet at Glen Coe, based on Torren Cottages. Solo. I drove to Glen Creran and up the glen on a minor road to the parking place. I walked up the glen on the forest track. At about 060519 I ascended up through forest – difficult at times – and climbed open ground above to reach the summit of area having spot height of 718m although the highest point is further SW. I reached this point and continued over point 671m to reach the summit of Fraochaidh.pwbellarby24/01/1998
Solo, traverse of Fraochaidh from Ballachulish village to Duror village. Not sure how I got back to (probably hired) car! A good day, though overcast. Mild.NorfolkPT2117/07/1997
