Climbed with Richard when staying at Aviemore. A quick run from Lecht. Not bad weather with the exception of a few heavy /short showers.amcculloch20/06/2019

From Blairnmarrow via Lurg Mheadhonach. Snowfall 2 days ago meant a trek through deep snow and the ascent took 3h instead of est. 2h in snow-free conditions. It was very worthwhile for being in a snow covered landscape, very beautiful, on a still, sunny day. With Pete. See Beinn a' Chruinnich log for return route.pwheeler18/03/2019

A 7.30 start for a morning walk and the opposite side of the A938 in the afternoon. From ski station up ski slope to Beinn a'Chuinaich, Carn Ealasaid, Toim Buirach, Liath Bheinn, Carn Bad a'Ghuail and back to start by-passing first two tops.dickscroop24/08/2017

An improvised walk late in the day, after I found myself without the maps for various hills I had planned, and unable to find a map seller in Dufftown. From the Lecht via the seagull colony to Beinn a'Chrunnich, then to Carn Ealasaid and back. Stay high on the intervening ridge to escape the clutches of the peat hags. And, for variety, walk up or down the mountain bike route from the Lecht, avoiding more bogginess.Nick Down128/07/2017

A nice enough walk from Corgaff castle, but it was disappointing to find that I could have bagged this hill on my mountain bike. I did a short part of the walk off piste and found the most amazing mixture of plant life and lichen, incredibly colourful. Thick mist and drizzle evaporated my enthusiasm for an extended walk, so I scuttled back down in time for very early tea and cake.Gill18/03/2016

Alone. From the car park at Corgarff Castle. Went along the track to Delnadamph Lodge. Crossed the river to the ruins of Dunandhu and ascended to the summit of Tom Dunan. Hence skirting to N of forest, partly on path shown on map (vehicle track) past shooting butts, stone man at 745m to summit of Carn Ealasaid. There is a vehicle track across the summit coming from NW. I followed this track, with some short cuts, over Carn Vaich to Loinherry. There is a slatey outcrop above Loinherry where several stone men have been constructed. Went along the track to Allargue Hotel on main road and so to the car park. The weather was fine cloudy initially but improving. Good views of Mount Kenn, Lochnagar, Ben Avon, Beinn a Bhuird, Cairngorm, Ben Rinnes, all except the last snow covered.pwbellarby18/04/1993
