W Sheasgaich main peak from Dronaig/Attadale and onto Lurg Mhor | nordicstar | 08/07/2004 |
The Sheasgaich/Lurg Mhor round from Craig with Shaky on a clear sunny day with became increasingly hazy. Over Beinn Tarsuinn from the Bealach Bhearnais & then sharply up to Bidein a'Choire Sheasgaich. Continued to Lurg Mhor but omitted its E top. Descended W for about 400m & then worked our way down N between outcrops into the corrie dropping to about 350m in the process. Then took a rising traverse over grassy stuff around the SE spur of Beinn Tarsuinn back to about 550m & maintained that line to the end of the corrie, climbing out to the Bealach Bhearnais at its end. This was a lot easier than it looked from above & definitely preferable to slogging back over the tops again. | NotReallyABagger | 07/05/2002 |
