Beinn Teallach and Beinn a' Chaorainn from Roughburn. Walked up soggy valley to Teallach first as it was clear on the summit at the start but it clouded in before I got there and went very low for the rest of the walk. Strong winds and later rain made it a rather tedious walk by enlarge. Solo. | meltdiceburg | 07/08/2022 |

Early start from Laggan dam after a night in the car. Climbed Beinn a Chaorainn first. It was mostly dry with a few spots of rain but the clouds were above the tops. I climbed the South top then headed over the middle and north tops. Walking was great there was a snow patch close to the south top. As I descended to the bealach I saw a Ptarmigan and Golden Plover. Luckily with all the dry weather it wasn’t to boggy at the bealach with Beinn Teallach. The latter was a bit rockier and there was a bit of a path. I visited both cairns and headed down easy grassy slopes back to the Allt a Chaorainn and the outward route. Did also see Ring Ouzel and Ravens. No other walkers seen. Time taken 4 hours 50 minutes for 11.25 miles. | isabelle | 08/06/2022 |
