From Arnisdale (a significant part of the challenge of this Munro is actually getting to Arnisdale, it feels very remote). Some high cloud cover. The ascent to Bealach Arnasdail is easy enough up a well defined footpath. Rockier above but remains non-technical. Ridge from pt 906 to summit affords amazing views (Skye and Islands) as dusk was falling. Returned by same routewychwood28/02/2023

2nd ascent with the PCMS. Went up from Armisdale on a lovely warm day. Great views of Skye, the Inner Hebrides and Knoydart. Punishing descent off the other side of the hill - definitely not to be repeated. 5 hour tripslynch22/08/2016
save this for a fine day. park in the village of Arnisdale and follow the sign out of the village. this is relentess in steepness. an easy path to follow to the summit of 906m. the path is very steep and you will use your hands to help on the last part of the climb. the views are the best akin to Norway fijords. the path is off the back and easy to follow to a lochen. tou see a path left and this will go through a forest back to the road. its steep so take care. once on the road you have about an hours walk back to the car.Aristotle Chip20/08/2016
Climbed Beinn Sgitheall solo from Arnisdale, including the East Top and NW Top. Ample parking in village. Lovely path up to Bealach Arnasdail. Bouldery climb to E top. Great though short ridge walk from there to the main summit, which is a stupendous viewpoint overlooking Loch Hourn, Skye and the hills of Knoydart and Kintail. After bagging the NW top, I traversed back to the West Ridge for the descent. The last bit through Coille Mhialairigh woods to the Arnisdale road is awkward as I lost the very faint path and ended up fighting through some steep and very overgrown hillside! Weather was fine - no wind, sunny earlier in the day, but clouding up later (mist settled on the summits, but after I left). Was plagued by midges at times, and a swarm of flying ant-like insects at the summit (one of whom bit me!). Nonetheless, a very fine isolated Munro and much recommended!jamessteel10017/08/2016

Desperate struggle up to west col from road - nearly turned back for a second time but did eventually find the path. The start is now marked with a cairn - which I failed to spot twice. Descent to Mam Arnisdale and Arnisdale was a misery on eroded paths.chriswatson13/08/2013

I've been up 4 or 5 times, summer and winter, and it's one of my favourites. Amazing views. Definitely easier from Glen Beag but a great walk from Arnisdale too. I note that a path has developed avoiding the screes from Bealach Arnisdalepup a grassy gully. Also I note that the old path down Coille Mhialairigh is getting lost at the top in favour of a short cut.Gill01/01/2000

I gather a lot of erosion has happened since 1999 when we found the way up from Mam Arnisdale OK- but we still went off Beinn Sgritheall by its W ridge. We also went on the NW top (928m) to prolong the enjoyment. Clear after rain, it felt like being on the roof of the W.Highlands, especially on top of the convex slope above Loch Hourn. Noted how important it was to find the path though Coille Mhialairigh to get back to the road from the W ridgepwheeler29/05/1999

Cairngorm Club Easter meet. With two club members. From near Creag Ruadh straight up the mountainside and then up the west ridge to the summit of Beinn Sgritheall. Returned approximately by the route of the outward journey. Much soft snow on the ground. It turned misty on the top, but otherwise it was good weather with first class views.pwbellarby30/03/1986
Alone. I left the car to the W of Creag Ruadh and went NE up the mountainside and then following the W ridge to Beinn Sgritheall. Due to mist I descended the NE ridge further than intended to reach a minor top on it. Climbed back up and to the west top. Descended to the W of the main top to rejoin my outward route. Mist on top.
