As others from A704. Other high points have better views.lordtonult04/01/2024
From the N, parking at gated (and locked) woodland access (NS 9642 5910). Good track all the way. Visited the 360m ring contours.jonglew06/11/2023
From the A704. Along forest tracks.colazione16/07/2023
A retrospective log bagged this hill when collecting Yeamans. Forest track from the northAndrew Simmons20/12/2021
With Claire. Parked in the main CP for Wilsontown Heritage village and followed the main path from the Wilsontown main entrance all the way to the top. Looped back via the path to the South.MickyRoss17/01/2021
Not very inspiring; by tracks from northhillsman26/02/2019
Train t West Calder, then bus to Breich. Up Woodmuir Rd, cross A704, then up good forest rd to end, followed by 400m through dense young sitka spruce plantation to road shown on map. Then very obvious summit as a large area has been felled. Visited the other alternatives but they were lower. Very interesting cairn (Thirl Stane) is now revealed. Very good viewpoint esp to S now that trees felled. Also of 5 sisters bing to E. Would make a wonderful visitor centre. probably best way in though is from W if you have a car.Thearlaichdubh25/02/2019
A dull day, an unexceptional walk up the forest road from gate on A704. View to south seems rather bleak with very large felled area (although this does open up the view). Explored all likely candidates for highest point and back down the road to car.Jubilado18/03/2018
parked track to the north biked in to the top, visited all 3.robertphillips13/01/2018
Plenty of parking space by the gate on the A704, west of the pylons but east of the Woodmuir Burn. Then I cycled all the way up the forest road without problems, and visited all three of Chris' tops.Pete R19/12/2015
Good parking at start of forest road on A704 to N. Most signs of the Mine and Workings have now gone. Used bike - very useful for this hill and nearby Hare Hill. Summit could be anywhere at side of road high point. 362m spot height in dense trees beyond a clearing. Suspect the cairn was where the quarry now is.Minto16/10/2015

Walked up the forestry track from the NW to visit all the likely high points.Dugswell212/07/2015
P NS 94844 55873. First top by track, 2nd top in trees (small pile of stones)3rd top now wall of quarry. With Charlie.chrisbien31/12/2014
More a forest walk than a hill climb. Tree plantations and quarry workings make this summit difficult to locate. Could not find the cairn shown in OS map.Steve51121/06/2013
apparent ancient cairn, grassed over; small comms tower to S. from E, boggy with burn to jump/wade RHW08/09/2012
Bike ascent on road. No mining complications now, but this used to be a bit awkward to get at.fasgadh10/09/2010
