From Knoydart bunkhouse, up An t-Uiriollach, then Meall Buidhe, followed by its East Top, returned the same way. Horrible day with cloud above 400m driving rain showers and strong winds, with Alex McBride, had planned to do the other munro as well, but conditions not suitable. | chillyman8 | 25/05/2022 |
Solo round of Luinne Bheinn & Meall Buidhe from Long Beach campsite - decided to do the route clockwise to make it a longer walk-in than walk-out, not sure if that was the best choice as the descent off Druim Righeanaich was not fun on tired legs. Fairly warm (ended up with some tasty sunburn) and very little wind meant a lot of fluids needed. I had hoped to get around in under 9h, but it ended up being 9h 15min - tougher day than expected. | mproudfoot | 07/05/2022 |

Left camp beside River Calnach at first light and ascended Druim Leac a Shith and then on to the summit. Lovely cloudless day again but a temperature inversion had caused the valleys to fill with mist. There looked like an excellent way to contour from Mam Barrisdale via two mid way lochs. Whilst returning to the tent, we met a dutchman who claimed that the weather was always like this when he came to Scotland, so we asked him to let us know when he comes again. After lunch back at the tent we proceeded upstream in order to get to our planned camp at Lock Quoich. However this proved difficult as the delightful valley closes in and becomes an unpassible gorge where it turns west. Mrs Mindlessflogger was a little perturbed that she wouldn't ever leave knoydart, but an ascent up deep steep veg on the north side landed us on the path from barrisdale. | mindlessflogger | 12/07/2013 |
With Yeltzbagger. Incredibly steep climb and descent. Camped at Carnach. Left the tent door open all night listening to the cuckoos. had camped at Sourlies two previous nights and got boat back to Mallaig the next day. ketzster climbed Ben Buidhe and said he was horrified watching the route we took. | Stevie n Tay | 30/05/2013 |
