From Loch Cuaich crossed river near ex-bridge in sandals, one of group used stepping stones with dry feet on way out. Best to pick up path where vehicle track ends. Hill only just visible in clag from Gleann Còsaidh up grassy rake from Loch an Lagain Aintheich. 7 hours to summit. Down W ridge & back to Barisdale path. River not too bad after several hours rain but no dry feet crossed just upstream of submerged stepping stones. 12hours15! | rogreeves | 18/04/2023 |

Parked by Loch Cuaich. Over the loch inlet by the ruined old bridge. Wet and in places overgrown path by the loch, particularly rough around Gleanncosaidh. Picked up the good although wet path up the glen, past Loch an Lagain, then up various grassy gullies north of the east ridge, getting onto the summit area from the north. | Owen B | 26/08/2022 |
Start point the camp spot beside the bothy at Barisdale. Steep climb up from Glen Barrisdale before dropping down the others side then following the main path back to the tent. | Fellhugger | 11/08/2022 |
My penultimate Graham. Largely followedill's route, except cut up onto the Slat Bheinn rige before the Loch. Followed the path all the way from the old road which continues all the way to Glen Cosaidh then around the back past a fence to the buildings, quite boggy in parts. Picked up the main track up Glen Cosaidh after it emerged from across the river. Long day out 15.6 miles, out 10.75hrs. On the way out we tried to cross the river nearer the building but it was wide and peaty and couldn't see the bottom, so aborted that route and drove further up the road to just past the broken bridge. | JulieB | 22/07/2022 |

A tough day from the parking space W of the ruined bridge over the Caolie Water, above Loch Quoich. Good stepping stones, then rough stuff until the loch shore (better going), joining the old road, then a path of sorts continues to Gleann Cosaidh, horribly rough around the eponymous ruin. The mapped path has gone until it starts to climb up the glen; OK but boggy; indistinct in one place. Slat Bheinn very elegant looking this side. Past Loch an Lagain Aintheich, slightly down the other side, to avoid rocky bumps and pick up a rough grassy ramp running parallel with the E ridge, then a gully to the ridge at hags, up to a lochan, up and cut into another gully, then S to the summit. On the way back, I continued on the old road to cross the river slightly downstream of an ex-bridge, only ankle deep, then up to the public road by the new hydro building, better than the outward route. Would be even easier to follow the old road further W to where it is mapped as emerging from the loch. | Gill | 25/06/2022 |
Slat Bheinn, An Caisteal, Meall nan Eun and tops from Kinloch Hourn. Took Barrisdale path for approx 2.5km then climbed to Bealach Mhinniceig. Steep drop to Glen Barrisdale and climb to Slat Bheinn (mist and rain), descent back to glen and climb to the excellent An Caisteal. Traverse to Meall nan Eun W top (climbing steeply at W end to avoid crags) then Meall nan Eun and W top. Some rain and mist, intermittent partial views | RobertP | 29/05/2022 |
parked on Kinloch Hourn road near NW branch of Loch Quoich. Followed lochside path to Glen Cosaidh and up E ridge then into corrie just below summit. Long, hard day; paths intermittent and very boggy. Glad to get it done! | IanHHill | 24/05/2022 |
Camping at Barisdale. Up ridge from west, and then descend north towards Meall nan Eun. | Grinner | 14/05/2022 |
From Kinloch Hourn. Climbed Mall nan Uan first then dropped down to valley floor in Glen Barrisdale. Easy fording of river. Climbed in South Westerly direction along an almost continuous grassy terrace between rock bands to just below the summit. Returned by same route to Glen Barrisdale and then the 1000ft reacent up to the bealach between Meall nan Uan and Sgurr nan Eugallt. Back down to the path west of Skiary along shoreline back to Kinloch Hourn. | Jossker | 07/05/2022 |

Fine evening light over Knoydart and west coast, left summit after 9pm, down east ridge than back up over col and along Skiary path to reach Kinlochhourn at 1am, 15 hours after setting off. | alda | 17/05/2018 |
From the small hydro station on the north shore of Loch Quoich, waded across the west arm of the Loch and then to the Cosaidh. Good path part of the way up the glen to the foot of the corrie which offers a good ascent making use of a grassy gully. Superb viewpoint. Back by same route. 7 hours there and back over rough ground. | Campbell Singer | 12/05/2018 |
