From Treledydd Fawr, good field paths via Treleidr continuing straight onto access land. Here, following the line of the permitted path shown going round to the E slope gave a prickle-free way through the gorse to an easy rock shelf leading to the splendid rock summit. Carpets of spring squill, thrift, dotted with orchids and Wall butterflies made this an idyllic place (by this route only!). Return via coast path and Carn Trellwyd made a good 6.5 mile walk.pwheeler12/05/2022
4/4 On Pembrokeshire Coast Path a day of small detours to include Carn Porth-Llong, Carn Llidi, Carn Perfedd and Penberry.nickywood131/10/2021
Parking just off the gate at SM 77399 29077. Crossed field and took paths to the ruin of the quarry building. A path sets of with great promise from the gate at SM 76949 29123 but all too soon splits, re-joins and crosses, so I picked the best with an upward trajectory. Bit prickly as others have said but not bad and a good view at the top.DC11main31/07/2021
Harder scramble than it looks (at least the side I went up!).Neil Midgley27/05/2021
10.4 mile circular from Whitesands car park, followed B4583 and then country lanes east to Treleidr farm then headed north towards Penberry, eventually finding the permissive path marked on the map up to the summit, from here followed coast path spotting several seals on the beaches below, then followed footpath onto Carn Perfedd, the summit can be a bit painful to get to because of the gorse but not too bad, then followed seldom-used paths back to the cliffs then back on the coast path to Carn Porth-Llong then around St David's Head towards Carn Llidi, good paths to old WW2 radar station then up to summit which requires a bit of a scramble to stand on top, followed path back to Whitesands. A few people around despite the very cloudy/sometimes showery conditions. Earlier that day bagged Garn Fawr.DanTrig07/09/2020

up from farm past old weigh bridge and mine working. paths through gorse leads to summit with bases of masts like those on other local hills. Suspect WW2 relatedcjo19/08/2019
walk along coastal path to rock outcrop with obvious HP on sunny day. some low gorse on approachDenise 29/07/2019
Took my bike on to the Coastal path below the hill, then ran up and down.Shutterlag15/07/2019
M&C from Celtic Camping. Approach from road to SE, past farm and bungalow then skirted round E side to vague overgrown track up on N sideMandChills08/08/2018
Ran up from holiday cottage past farm, looped round N of hill. Track just before the stile/gate to get to top. No views as in low cloud.stever07/08/2018
Whilst walking a section of the coastal path I made a slight detour to bag this one.Chipstertrain09/09/2017
Similar route to arranc but turned off the main path too soon on the way up and ended up in gorse. As I was with the children I had to carry them over a couple of bits which meant passing through the worst bits three times. Route back better as we headed down to the coast path and thus bypassed the gorse. Nice hill.Herbert Anchovy30/05/2017
Prickly walk up from minor road to the SE to join the upper coastal path with detour to Penberry. Then continuation on to Carn Perfedd via more prickly paths and off-piste to take in 3 likely summits although middle one seem highest after you look back from the road. Then used minor roads back to car.Dugswell224/07/2016
Roadside parking near entrance to Penberry Farm. Don't do the direct route in shorts; narrow paths with gorse encroaching - painful! Small brick pillar-type structure at summit, evidence of WWII activity? Cloud down, drizzling, no views.jonglew23/07/2016
Parked, with permission at Treleidr Farm, N on WDP between hedges to coastal view. Turn right, over a second stile. 100 yards beyond join a VWDP leading to top. Avoids the gorse and most of the rocks. Very nice hill.arranc19/10/2015

Minor detour from Pembrokeshire coastal pathRamblingpaul21/06/2015
From Tretio, while in holiday cottage. Took RoW NW, croossed lane and took track past Tremynydd Fawr to Pembrokeshire Coast Path. Followed this west, then permissive path up eastern flank of hill. Then I followed sheep tracks up to summit - lots of bracken, gorse and brambles - don't do in shorts, as I did! To descend, picked up track south to lane, then by lanes back to Tretio.Man of Kernow127/07/2014
As RHW. Lots of gorse all over the hill. Best bet seemed to be paths to 7676 2913 then bits and pieces through the gorse.destaylor30/12/2013
fine rocky hill; lovely view. e.g. from road to SE: to avoid gorse follow FP round to N side then to summit RHW21/06/2003
