Keld - Robert's Seat - Tan Hill Inn | JHes | 16/04/2023 |
A brisk stroll for the bog trotting Boo and me in-between making dessert and the main course for tea. Tina Charles's I Love To Love came on the transistor as we reached the summit. Who can ask for more. | Alphaville199 | 04/03/2023 |
Visited during Day 20 of our Dales Circular walk from the end of the road above Hartley to Tan Hill Inn. Followed the C2C red route over Nine Standards and White Mossy Hill, to the famous Ravenseat farm, then along the public FP into Stonesdale, visiting the grassy Robert's Seat along the way. With Christine, Eric, Geoff and Steve. The full day's walk was 17.6km with 700m of ascent, taking us 5h 30m. | silveracorn_alan | 12/05/2022 |
From minor road to the east | Alan Caine | 16/10/2021 |
I was surprised how busy it was at Ravenseat Farm so I've looked it up and now I see. Saw 16 people on the footpath, which was 16 more than I expected but a couple I spoke to were on a walk from Tan Hill Inn so nothing to do with Ravenseat. The Dales are the busiest I've seen them but still nothing like the Lake District and in fact I like having a few people around to say hallo to and break up the desolate monotony of the fells. Very straightforward ascent and pleasantly pastoral lower down. | Wycombe Wanderer | 25/08/2021 |

With Jo, circular walk from Tan Hill: fp to Robert’s Seat, then alongside fence over Thomas Gill Hill and Hugh Seat Nab to Kettlepot Road, onto High Greygrits, returning along road. Weather; high clouds, generally warm, good visibility. | amblerbob | 28/09/2014 |
Parked at Tan Hill, then walked on the path across to Robert's Seat. Great walk with the weather on our side. Walked with Graham, Emily and Ruben | karencooke | 01/11/2013 |
Parked to ESE of hill near a bridge. Directly up the hill, soggy and reedy in places. Summit area flat and grassy, GR given seemed as good as anywhere for summit. Slightly lower at the fence corner to the S is a boulder and circular concrete ring-type trig point. | Aye Jimmy | 22/08/2013 |
Parked NY 883041, straight lined to top, boggy in places. | Anton | 23/11/2011 |
